I was thinking who where the best players we got from other clubs, Chris Judd (West Coast) Greg Williams (Sydney) are 2 obvious choices but what about players from the other teams? Scotland (Collingwood) Spalding (Melbourne) Rice (St.Kilda) like other people input to who has been the best player we got from other clubs.

We pretty much picked the eyes out of the the lesser teams like St Kilda and Sydney at one stage. You're going to have a pretty long list.

Some players are finished at their previous club and we pick them up for almost nothing so not sure if they count. Brad Pearce got 2 games with Brisbane in 1993 and we picked him up for 1994 when he also only got 2 games. Thankfully he chose 1995 to be his breakout year.

Glenn Manton came from Essendon and got a premiership medallion. Val Perovic from the Saints. Matt Clape from the Eagles.

Justin Madden from Essendon was one of our very big acquisitions in more ways than one.

Does recruiting Sticks and Craig Bradley from the SANFL count?

From a neutral perspective, I would say Greg Williams as the best narrowly in front of Judd

One of the best Adrian Hickmont (Geelong)
Hickmott.

I don't mean to point out spelling mistakes but some irritate for some reason. Probably because they are player's names and I worship at their altar.

Thorton is another one that gets me. Maybe he can have Hickmont's 'n'.

Don't count IMO, but even if they did, Carlton wanted Sticks from the time he was 15 or 16 so he wasn't even a Glenelg star at the time we starting enquiring. We kept in touch and protected our interest for years before he finally came. He was a talented junior but I credit our talent identification staff for getting in his ear early and almost feel like he was a Carlton player who happened to be serving a long apprenticeship with his beloved Glenelg. ;)

Greg Wells
Peter McKenna
Greg Wells atleast played in a Premiership, plus Melbourne has given us some good players over the years, Brent Heaver was to bad as well, Apart from warnock everyone we ever got from Fremantle have been duds. A Few good names mentioned but alot of real Duds mentioned as well. I was asking for the best players we got, thanks.
