Players in the WAFL.

I've just had a browse through the Sunday Slimes and was wondering if anyone watched any of the WAFL games yesterday.

I was interested in how the AFL linked players went as the Slimes said bugger all.

I saw the East Freo v Perth games.

I didn't see all of it, but Dodd, McPharlin and MacPhee played in the ressies and Doddy was good. McPharlin was solid and looked to be taking it easy. McPhee played at CHB and was no standout. They looked to be protecting themselves - still the ressies smashed Perth by about 10 goals.

Sandilands and Eastaugh played in the seniors. Sandilands was fine, doing what you would expect a beanpole to do - getting first touch but not not really dominating. Eastaugh went really hard. I thought he was out early on - hitting the deck and not getting up for a while - but he played out the rest of the game, being quite mobile and presenting well but not dominating. He isn't that big a bloke but plays with a lot of endeavour and a fair bit of nous for the local comp.

There is a quality small forward for the Demons - Aboriginal bloke, number 47 (I am struggling to remember). He is someone to watch.
