I regularly see two very high profile Bulldogs players constantly feeding money into TAB machines at a nearby pub - you might say they're on the 'hunt' for a big win and looking to 'string' a few good picks together...there would be so many players across all clubs with serious problems though. Too much money and an escape from football in a sense, gambling is such a very dangerous combination for everyone but in the AFL world it has always seemed like there is a lack of awareness/education about the affects gambling can have. It seriously affects thousands upon thousands of young men across Australia, and ruins lives. It causes serious mental as well as financial issues and the AFL should do more to educate players about it. But of course, they probably won't.
