Gilligan is playing reserves. Hislop and Taylor were suspended. Thomson I believe missed a week from injury.

Hislop's had an operation (out for rest of season). Taylor was suspended. Not sure about Thomson.

Thomson has been playing at Coburg apart from this week - no idea why he missed.

Can confirm Danog's info and also tell you that he's been placed on LTI.
Can't find any offical confimation, but if true that would be very interesting. Especially as he is one of the names that regularly crops up regarding delistment and it would allow us to promote another rookie.

If Hislop has had surgery and is out for the rest of the year that's surely the end of him. Good riddance.

Double elevation could be a possibility. Goo and who?
Hicks.

Extremely small, too young to judge yet but aside from O'Reilly he's the only other rookie pushing for a call up. I loved the look of him in the Burgers - GC game. From all reports, O'Reilly is still learning the game plus we have an embarassment of riches in the midfield at the moment anyway. Contin maybe but again, we've plenty of mids. Small crumbing forwards are what we need.

Gilligan is probably on last shot but I don't see him doing anything special atm. Westhoff too early, still in reserves but with Simmo gone, Griffo in seniors, if Polly gets upgraded expect Westhoff to move up to seniors.

We dont need to elevat anyone if they dont deserve it. Although i would like to get some games into Goo now, And upgrade another one round 20 and play them untill the end of the year just to give them a small amount of football without putting any presure added strain on them.

Essendon's website posts a media release each week from the AFL entitled "AFL Weekly News". It used to be posted each week on the AFL website itself, no idea why it isn't anymore.

It is mainly a list of draft dates, upcoming milestones etc, but amongst all the meaningless rubbish it does have a LTI section, which lists LTI additions/subtractions from the week before.

This week's entry is:

The AFL wishes to advise the following recent changes have been made to club lists, under the provision of the long-term injury-list rules:

Richmond – Placed Tom Hislop on the long-term injury list, with no replacement named at this stage.

Anyone know what Taylor was suspended for? I assume it was a VFL suspension, not an RFC suspension.

Was it something soft?
I'm pretty sure it was for high contact while bumping.

Yes it was soft, but that's the way of the football world today.

Any one know if the Bendigo player was suspended for striking Taylor in retaliation?
