I just saw a ch 7 news break and they said 2 big dockers suffer a huge blow for the derby tomorrow? i didnt hear it properly but can anyone elaborate?

Yeah maybe. Would be a shame if any more players were dropped from either side.

They would be referring to Longmuir and Hasleby... who didn't train. I think one or both will play.

Is Longmuir injured??

its gotta be haselby and.... ??

I actually think Hase will play. He trained strongly throughout the week. If anyone is going to miss though, it is Hasleby and Webster will come in.

Not training Longmuir is just to make WC think we will play Medders so they line up differently imo, because Medhurst is 1 of our 2 emergencies. Also ensures Longmuir won't pull up sore tomorrow.

If Longmuir was in serious doubt, Polak wouldn't be playing WAFL today, which he is.

I expect Hase to play Port, in a match where his 'mystery' injury is less risky to the result and himself.

As for JLo, we need someone for FF this game, so he stays, but next week his knees can have a rest against Port, because we should have Murphy back.

I'd replace Hase with either Webster of Polak. Webster for a straightish swap midfielder/midfielder thing. Polak to rotate FF with JLo and do what he did so brilliantly in round 6. If the club were wanting to trade him (which I hope they don't) giving him the opportunity to shine in a derby has the added effect (aside from just having a good player out there) that it might raise his value. I'm not saying that he should be picked on the second train of thought, but it could be a bonus.

In short, for me:

OUT: Haselby
IN: Polak

And then a big reshuffle to give some people some rest against Port.

Edit: Oh, I didn't know Polly played WAFL today, ah well, there go my thoughts :P
