But harsh on Johnson. I remember him for his legacy - squandering shots near or after the final siren to win is team the game.

Only remembered for missing 2 match winning goals because it happened so rarely.....Johnno won dozens of games off his own boot with late last quarter goals.

John Georgiades is a better nomination - 8 goals on debut and disappeared soon after.

100 years ago, Bill James was recruited to Richmond from Kyabram. His first game was the 1920 VFL Grand Final, where he kicked the matchwinning goal. Never played in the VFL again.

It was reported this was due to him being accidentally shot in the foot while hunting, but this was disproved on BigFooty of all places. He simply got delisted, went back to Kyabram and won two premierships. The shooting was actually four years later.

Moorcroft and Johnson are both remembered for that mark. But Morcroft is only remembered for that mark. Johnson played over 360 games was 6 time All Australian including AA captain in 2006, an alltime legend.
I’m sure Johnno would love Moorcrofts premiership medal.

Johnson for being so vastly overrated.

Essendon fans won’t forget Michael Quinn for being our ruck in the 2009 elim final (partnering the giant that is Nathan Lovett Murray)

Also Rampe for climbing to the top of the goalpost while managing not to shake it ;)

Leon Baker was a star but that blind turn and goal in the 84 granny was something. Billy Duckworth for the same game

Kyle Reimers 8 against GC

In my mind, Leon Baker will never be remembered for ONE game. Brilliant player, full stop.

A player who jogged around in board shorts at training for South Bunbury, he was definitely the opposite of a figjam.
