I have 3 players that I think won't he on our list come the wnd of the season.

Jared Moore - had his opportunities but was really nothing more than a solid link man who makes good decisions. Not overly attacking, not enough to survive in today's game.
Nathan Gordon & Brett Meredith - both have been on the list for a while, both are very vanilla and don't look likely to be anything more than serviceable. Neither has shown anything special and barely do the basics well.

I'd be surprised if any of the above players survived this year (provided they're out of contract).

One of either seaby or white are probably likely to be cut

Yes he did , i don't think too much thought went into the OP. Moore would have to be off as you can't carry a player who is only good in the wet.

People getting only 1 year on the senior list isnt uncommon. If Nipper doesn't improve as much as we hope it's a very real possibility he could get cut this year.

Whether it be at the end of the year, or next year, is beside the point really. My opinion is that, I don't think either Meredith or Gordon will be on our list in the future. Neither has shown anything special and barring a meteoric rise over the course of the season I don't think they will.

Others may disagree and I'm happy to hear their thoughts. Others might pick other players who are less valuable to our side and should be delisted first, I'm interested to hear others opinions.

Yeah Im not a fan of threads like these, much rather support all our players even in the little ways but each to their own I guess. I wonder if some will be happy if they get it right?
Even if all our players are superstars, which they aren't, at least 2 of them will not be on the list at the end of the year - that is AFL rules. It is far more likely to be more than that.

fair enough, personally I dont like subjects that are negative towards anyone wearing red and white, especially at this time of the year.. I have no problems with anyone else discussing it like I said before, each to their own.

Wasn't Moore just included in the 9 man leadership group? They wouldn't have done this if they didn't have longer term plans.

Meredith, Heath, and Everitt would be the first 3 players culled IMO.

Moore, White, Dennis-Lane and Seaby would be in next group.

Depends on injuries throughout season and who gets gametime etc but can't see any of those 7 in our best 22.

I don't think it's necessarily a negative thread. It's always good to look back and see how different things pan out at end of year.

One of the players we think are a bit shaky could have a breakthrough season and become a good news story.

It's a cold hard fact and the list managers are already looking at who is available in the draft and for trade and which players on our list are expendable.

I think this thread is totally pointless. I'm sure everyone is aware of the trouble that a hero of our club, Brett kirk had in establishing himself in the side but once he did he bought a whole culture to our club. All players develop at different rates and some don't make it but if the club thinks they have potential they will keep them on the list. Lets leave it up to the club to make the call as they have done with many players who initally showed some potential.
