I am wanting to know which players on the list do you think are at risk of not seeing the next season in navy blue? Which players have to make a difference to maintain their place at the club?
It could look like they might never get back in. But we never know. One could hit their straps and survive the next off-season.

Provide names and give a reason. Here is my list (don't have to do it exactly like mine and it does not have to be as detailed):

Dennis Armfield - I think we all are noticing that ever since Malthouse has came to the club, Armfield has been out of favour. He has great speed, but where does he play now, given that all of the positions are filled? And since he is heading towards the end of his career, we might not see him in the Carlton Guernsey much anymore. Many would have to get injured for Armfield to be next in line.

Robert Warnock - It is risky, getting rid of a ruckman as they are hard to replace. I noticed that many of us who were comparing Warnock and Wood's performances realised that Wood played much better in a smaller number of games. And plus, Warnock is only known for the ruck work. Where else can he play? Surely not forward. I have seen him shank the ball dozens of times. My brother even criticises his performances.

Matthew Kreuzer - It is quite obvious Kreuzer is prone to a lot of injuries. I hear the media talking up Carlton's chance of trading him for someone just as good when fit. That does not seem like a good move. But I don't know what the people working within the club are thinking.

Blaine Johnson - We saw glimpses of his game both in the preseason and last year. Mick seems pleased with his work ethic. But I don't think anybody else sees it like he does. I feel he needs to put on a few kg if he wants to be a more effective player.

Cameron Giles - It seems harsh but I can't see Giles lasting long on our list. The injury he has suffered does indeed take a long time to recover from. I just question how much more time will the club give him to get back on track.

I don't wish to see anybody leave, but changes have to be made at the end of every season.

But also with Judd, Simpson, Walker and Carrazzo being in the twilight years of their careers. It might save a few players, if any choose to call it quits.

How long has Andrew Walker got left? If the right trade came up do you think the blues would get rid of him?

Warnock should have been gotten rid of a long, long time ago, Ellard is serviceable, Armfield as well, but the rest or on the edge.

Each national draft there has been a least one player who has not been given a chance, despite how fit they were.
Suppose they did not show enough in the 2's, fair enough. But it still seems like a big move, delisting players like Tom Temay and Luke Reynolds (Rookie Draft) when they still possibly had more to show.
It is not me putting them on the chopping block. It is more so the club as soon as they get them and witness their first few training sessions.
With everybody anticipating to see Blaine Boekhorst, Clem Smith and Dillon Viojo-Rainbow on the field, it seems like many are pushing Foster aside.

Believe me, I want to see him play. I want to know his impact in the VFL.

Remember this is who I THINK might be at risk of not being at the club for much longer. Not who I want gone.

I actually think it is a crunch year for Buckley.

We all love him and he is a son of a gun but he has now been on the list for 4 (?) years and it is time to show some consistent form in the seniors.

A lot of our picks only end up playing a few games then being de-listed. Rainbow will get AFL games before Foster does.

I'd like us to hang onto him too but it's a tough gig proving yourself in the 2s.

I agree but he does need to be given an extended spell in the senior team to do that. I'm hoping it's not a case of he earns his recall, plays one game and then back to the twos.

I'm not as concerned with results this year as i am with sorting through a bit more of the list and finding out whether these guys can actually play.

David Ellard - I love how Mick still gives him a lot of chances, but how many more chances before enough is enough? He has had so many issues with his calf. Looks persistent, but how long can he last. Surprised he is still on the list. Not that i have wanted him gone. He can produce a good game here and there.

Jayden Foster - Unfortunately, some players we get, are delisted far too early. Players that are not talked about more than others happen to be on the outer. Injury or no injury, Foster has to perform miracles in the VFL eventually otherwise this year (or next year) will see his time at the blues be cut short.

Matthew Kreuzer - It is quite obvious Kreuzer is prone to a lot of injuries. I hear the media talking up Carlton's chance of trading him for someone just as good when fit. That does not seem like a good move. But I don't know what the people working within the club are thinking.

aside from Kreuzer the rest are pretty much 2nd's players

Ellard, Giles, Armfield would be first in line.

Graham will likely leave.
If your stuck at VFL getting tagged while role players in Curnow, White and Carazzo are taking your spot I'd leave asap.

Seriously, what is with. You must have a grudge against those 3 mentioned. Ironically they were 3 of the 8 best performers that night. Can't criticise them after one game and want them out of the club. They must have done something bad to you.

What I like about Malthouse is that he is giving the not so popular players a chance, to prove themselves, and they are. You always seem to point out the negatives in them.

It hurts team balance to load up on taggers.

Having half of our midfield stuck to their player when we need run and carry happening will cost us every time.

That is why I want Everitt to play somewhere else. Carrazzo should play more of an offensive style now. White should not tag at all (not fit for it, either a defender or a forward).

Everyone is going to be matched up on another. But some should learn to focus on the ball rather than the player. Curnow at the moment is our main tagger. Carrazzo has simply got to find another role now. He is slowly reaching the end of his career.

I'd keep Carazzo as a offensive tagger. White as a medium defender down back.

Curnow for his accountability is still a limited footballer and I see no point playing him against the WC midfield.

Everitt on the wing for now while Thomas is injured and Boekhurst is developing.

Well we are just going to have to agree to disagree.

Curnow has done the job on Gaff before. He can do it again.

Bringing Boekhorst in now would be a stupid move.

He needs time in the VFL. Like Cripps and Menzel in their first years.

Even Everitt can play a run with Gaff.
