Josh Carr is an interesting one.

Port premiership player and vice captain. Traded to Freo in a pretty high profile deal (1st, 2nd, 3rd pick) and was vice captain again. Ended up rejoining Port in the PSD at only 28 years old, played 2 anonymous seasons then retired. Has also been an assistant coach and Port and now Freo.

Chris Heffernan was offloaded from Essendon due to salary cap, came back a couple years later.

If you include inter-code moves, Tadhg Keneally and Martin Clarke both came back after playing Gaelic for a bit.

Wanted to play with his brother and Port facilitated his move as there was no way his brother should’ve been on an AFL list.

Justin Murphy went Carlton-Geelong-Carlton in between starting his career at Richmond and finishing it at Essendon.

Gavin Wanganeen

Josh Carr

if you're going to count Wanganeen why don't you really put the mayo on it and list everyone drafted from the Magpies who then went to the Power afterwards?

Scott Lycett, Brad Ebert, David Brown off the top of my head - but everyone knows they don't actually count

how many sanfl games did Wanganeen play after leaving Essendon?

I think Carr's body was largely cooked by the end of his time at Freo, likely due to his game style.
It's also why he largely returned to Port without anyone else trying to pinch him from the PSD.

Absolutely loved him during his first stint at Port, thought that he could've been anything particularly when he had games where he tagged an opposition gun out of the game (e.g. Voss) and still managed to kick a few goals himself. Seemed to give good service to Freo, before falling away

100% winning record in Showdowns too :(

Why are so many people saying Farmer?

He went Melbourne to Freo. As far as I’m aware he couldn’t have played for Freo before Melbourne like some are claiming because he debuted in 1995 for the Dees.

Have I missed something?
2 = so many.

He never played for them but he was tied to the club as a pre-draft selection and then directly traded to Melbourne for Phil Gilbert before the 1995 season.
