And swapping down the picks from #3 to #7. We were keen on Matthew Pavlich with that pick, but ended up trading down and took Danny Roach as, what we thought then, a similar player... Didn't quite work out for us.

Malthouse has been looking for a 190cm utility since he's been at Collingwood (e.g Bo Nixon, the persistence with Ben Kinnear, the drafting of Sean Rusling this year) so it's not a stretch to think that he would've wanted Pavlich with pick #3, instead of letting Richmond waste it on Aaron Fiora :(

Adrian McAdam was huge in his first year,,, bags of 7, 10 and 6 in his first 3 games, kicked 50 goals after about 7 games, and kicked 68 from 17 in his first season (1993). Kicked 22 from 18 in 1994, and played I think one game in 1995, and that was it. Was traded to Collingwood for Brad Plain who played one game for us, but I think McAdam had already decided to bugger off back to the NT by then.

Darren Cuthbertson kicked a couple of bags in mid 1991 from memory, then buggered off as quickly as he hit the scene. Sean Charles and Brent Heaver did a "Cuthbertson" each by kicking 5 in their first games, but did nothing after that.

Kent Kingsley was a reserves legend at North, kicked 6 on debut vs Port and is now a 2 goal per week FF at Geelong.
