With a player of Jurrah's talent, hard to see other clubs playing nice with Port and letting them pick him up cheaply. In saying that, who knows...
Only reason he left MFC was for family reasons which only can be resolved with them all living togther in Adelaide, so i cant see it mate. either Adelaide team but he cant live ANYWHERE else atm not even Yuendumu

Ricky Dyson is another who has missed out. Quite surprised actually as he is a good depth player and moreso would be a good fit for a GWS or GC. The fact that his name hasn't even been mentioned as someone who has missed out is even more surprising.

Not surprising at all. Just shows that some essendon fans rated him much higher than everyone else in the country. I have been saying for years that he was over rated and this just proves my theory.

He'll be 25.5 by the start of the 2014 season, would have to blow the hinges off to picked up by anyone including Port.

If Jurrah's case gets thrown out and he tears up the SANFL will other clubs respect the work Port has put into him or just jump in and grab him?
What work? We paid thousands for him and put an insane amount of effort into his integration and development before he left. All is fair in love and war.

Lucas Cook must have some serious flaws to go from being an AA junior and a national draft pick to nothing in just two seasons. Plenty of spuds were picked up, but they must want it more than Cook and Garlett.
As I understand it he has some quite serious anxiety issues.

But did you rate Lonergan higher than Dyson ?
Yes personally i was a little disappointed that lonergan got delisted and we were considering re drafting prismall.

I have always loved the way the sammy attacked the footy the main problem was that he neve really found enough of it regularly enough

Are you trying to say that's old for a guy who has played 40 odd games and kicked nearly 100 goals at AFL level already? Considering how close Port went to picking him this year, and the support they are now giving him, an above average season will see him drafted in 2014. It's a given (if his off field stuff is all good as well obviously).

It's old for a prospective 190cm key forward - tweener these days - already spat out of the system and with his history. Assuming he isn't imprisoned a ho-hum to solid year in the SANFL won't do it.

Andrew Krakouer had to transcend the WAFL what with his Sandover and Simpson Medals to get another shot at age 28.

That's the point of the thread isn't it? Guys rated highly by some people, but not highly enough by others...AFL recruiters most importantly. Dyson was ok without ever reaching any great heights. Liked Lonergan as well, but personally would've kept Dyson ahead of him.

Toy signed with Essendon's VFL side the other day. They might have their eye on him for 2014?
Maybe. But spending a year back in VFL isn't ideal and I am pretty sure he will still have to nominate for the draft so other teams can take him if he does well..

I said before the PSD that he wouldn't be picked up. Didn't want to say anything at the time but during training at Richmond he showed just how bad his endurance is. AFL career over unfortunately.

Can his medical condition be corrected?

And if so, will that correction allow him to do all that is necessary to be an elite footballer playing in AFL ranks?

Josh toy' was always completely over-hyped. Dominating in an elite schools comp is largely meaningless. Hardly played any tac cup footy.

I'll expect Pongracic to have his name called out by Essendon in this year's draft then :p
