There were some shocks with Toovey, Bain, R. Jackson, Sharp, Smith , Redden, Grundy and Kirkby missing out.

Why?

and were their more?

Because people on BIGFOOTY say he is? There would be about 20% on here who actually have seen him play. The rest are about as qualified as a donkey to comment on players.
becasue he averaged 30 touches a game and was not picked up by a afl club.

Toovey, Jackson, Redden are in-between height, bottom age players who will all most likely be invited to training over the next 3 weeks so coaches can have a bit more of a look at them
Grundy, Kirkby hard to explain. Crows may pick Grundy in the PSD if Stevens doesn't make it otherwise could rookie list him
Bain and Sharp (since he likes to handball at half back Port will probably take him in the PSD  ) should get rookie listed but probably not outstanding enough to be taken in an even draft like this
Smith wasn't really a surprise despite the GF

Sharp did not get drafted because he is such an outside player you'd think his preferred position was the boundary line!!

An absolute receiver, and not that skillful either, although i think his a good distance runner.

Bain is a winger and top age, that's all i know.

Grundy and Kirkby are definite rookie listings while Toovey, Jackson and Redden can play next year if not selected.

Considering we have the 1st pick in both PSD and rookie drafts i'd like to get Kirkby and maybe Jackson.

Jackson cannot be rookied. You must turn 18 this year to be eligble to be a rookie.

Jackson will go round one next year and like McQualter everyone will say "why didn't we get him with a late pick last year"

as far as i know bain and gilham from the oakleigh chargers will be attending training on tuesday for the richmond football club. aslo sharp wil be at melbourne. i think bain and sharp were definately unlucky to miss considering they both had outstanding years. lots of people on this site callin sharp soft because he is an outside player. well you still need outside players in your team. as for bain i think was the most unlucky out the oakleigh boys, but nothing much you can do about it. gilham was predicted to go after a good end of year campaign as was also unlucky. also thought other players such as toovey and kirkby were very unlucky.

No Oakleigh boys was rather suprising.

I'd expect at least one of Gilham, Sharp and Bain to be rookie listed somewhere.

All of them can consider themselves very unlucky.

I think Bain missed out cause during the Draft Camp he was injured and only had interviews with clubs, no actual testing, he should be rookie listed by someone, i hope by us
