Sowwi im being so negative tonite but doesnt it worry you that some of our younger players have such big heads they dont talk or respect us fans.

In the past 2 yrs I've been 2 many training sessions ect and while most of the boys r great and will sign stuff and have a photo ther r a few who just walk past. Last yr giansiracusa walked off when i asked for a photo and ofcourse me being a huge fan of his at the time i was pretty disapointed and since then havent given him the time of day I was wondering what other ppl thought of this kind of behaviour???

Sowwi?

I'm sorry I thought you were a teenybopper. You're obviously much younger than that.

come on, Jim. it's a serious thread.

if players aren't good to fans we won't get memberships.

this crap is going too far. stop the english lessons. you can understand if you use your brains. it's just quicker. but i guess when ur as old as half of the geriatrics on here u have plenty of time to waste.

you're not all perfect.

In my opinion Bubba is one of the better players. When I used to get a humungous amount of autographs and photos and all that jazz Rohan was always friendly. I have never had a problem with any of the Bulldog guys for photos, autographs etc except for Nicky Winmar who was just unbelievably shy, the Aussie cricketers on the other hand.......... (Taylor and McDermott)

In B54's defense, i don't think he meant player as in on the field, he was using "player" as a title. If you were talking about coaches, he would have said "Peter is one of the better coaches"

Just clearing that up. :)

Deano was always the best with autographs I reckon.I had a bit of trouble with Border a bit when I was younger. He always seemed to be in a ****ty mood and walk straight past you.

i guess when ur as old as half of the geriatrics on here u have plenty of time to waste.
Dancingdoggie - I object strongly to you calling people in this board geriatrics with time to waste. As an older contributor to this forum - and a teacher as well - I have little time to waste, but when it comes to correct spelling, grammar and punctuation, I get extremely frustrated because I feel like I have to translate what has been written, and quite frankly that does waste time.

I think an apology is called for!

I have to say that the players on Sunday were very obliging with their time - photographs and autographs were not too much trouble. The kids around were delighted.

Mo - Out of interest, how did the Barwon Bulldogs get together go on Sunday?

Hey you told me that anyone older than 21 is officially old, does that also make them a "geriatric"?

I think this is a very tough area to judge.

I think it is hard to decide too much about any person on very brief contacts. Gia may have had a very good reason for being rude that day or on the other hand he may just be not very nice, there is basically no way to know without getting close to the man.

This is a factor that can sometimes be worrying when supporters (especially youngsters who tend to idealise their fave players) get too into the idea that players are more than just that. Love em cos they are hot, love em cos they are talented, but don't love em cos they are good blokes, cos you have very little insight into whether they are or not.

On the thread interruption stuff, you are just as big a tosser for interrupting a thread to slag someone for very little reason as you are for interrupting a serious thread to say how hot someone is.
