Actually never heard anyone say that. Seems like a reasonable bloke.
Don’t know newblueo well enough to confirm he is a reasonable bloke, will take your word for it.

Never could warm to Peter McKenna in a carlton jumper,

My brother (who was 15yo at the time) ran onto Princes Park at the end of a game, went up to McKenna and said "you are not worth the money we paid for you".

McKenna punched him in the guts.

You can take the bloke out of Collingwood, but ...

Terry Wheeler - infamous for the squirrel grip

Craig Kelly - all bluff, used to pinch players behind play, utterly had tickets on himself

Tony Liberatore - arseh*le of a footballer

Magro - sniper. Hit Terry Bright 100 metres off the ball in a final.....and the Jezza thing

Sheedy - kicked, spat, elbowed, dog of a player

The entire 1978 St Kilda team - goon squad

Didn't know that. Doesn't surprise me though.

I was at Leederville oval some years back when Ratten was coach with my young Carlton mad son. We were playing Freo in a practice match if I recall correctly. 45 minutes before play the boys were warming up and coming to the boundary signing autographs, I asked Chris could he sign the young blokes jumper and he said later. As they were heading from the ground up through the players race, after the warmup the players again were signing autographs, me and my lad asked Chris again and were both told at the end of the game.Brett Ratten came over and signed my son's jumper and said Chris can be in his own zone at times!
We lost the practice match but waited with what appeared to be quite a few parents and kids all waiting for Judd's autograph. He dismissed us all and when I said what about your promise to my son he said I never said that:thumbsdown:

From that day on he is a shit bloke in my eyes.I will never forgive him.

That would suck, especially for the young fella.

Andy I hope it was an isolated incident but it was enough for me. I also know you can't make everyone happy all the time.

All he had to say is not today guys or something like that.

Not excusing Juddy or other players that have done that but it must be tough especially if you are the player that everyone wants a photo or autograph with.

I was a post game function after we played the crows at the G last year and the line to get a photo or autograph from Jack Silvagni was ridiculous compared to all the other players. For a kid who is trying to make his was in the game to cop that much attention must be tough.

The thing that really peeved me off was the mature female supporters who would find it necessary to push in front of kids to get photo's with players. My son who was 7 at the time got pushed out of the way a couple of times which made my blood boil.

Every footy fan has a handful of players that were popular in most people's eyes but they have no time for.

Time to fess up ....

For me, I never ever got on the Bryce Gibbs bandwagon, always thought he was massively skilled but as lazy as all get out.
Come to think of it he could of done a bit more of getting hard ball gets instead of being a seagull . In hindsight..
