I just think this is the logical move. Egan is not an attacking defender, he is a stopping defender. He has a good engine, is big, a good mark and a good spoil. Importantly though he allows the other defenders to zone off, help out and attack.

Playfair is the only guy we can bring in who allows us to do this. He allows us to continue with this structure. Also his man would probably need to kick at least 6 to win them the game anyway, I doubt that is happening.

You have got to be kidding. If Playfair plays it is a joke.

He showed against Port why he is a hack and will be gone from our club at seasons end.

He is just simply not up to the level, let alone finals level.

Henry is a great guy but was sh*thouse against Port Adelaide. This would be an enormous risk. He was awkward and, aside from the awful handball blunder which allowed Port to score the winning goal, missed relatively easy marks and spoilt Ottens' mark in the forward line. You will say that he is a strong back man and perhaps with some justification but there would be howls of protest after his most recent inclusion.

unlike egan hank doesn't have a football brain. His decision making is rubbish and is a liability.

Restructure the back with the players we have. Remember Jimmy and Rooke have to come back so who do you suggest we drop for hank the hack that won't upset the team balance?

He is not up to it; hea has neither the skills or the athleticism to hold down a position in the team. Apart from half a season a few years ago, he has never been an elite standard player and always let's the team down when really required. I'm sure North would be happy for him to be in the team.

no way playfair.

If you want height bring in another tall forward and stretch their defence (Hawkins, or King). Let them do the reshuffle not us!

Ottens spent a lot more game time in the forward line last week,as I believe he will this week.He is as fit as he has ever been whilst at the cattery, and is now able to spend more time forward when not on the ball.
This in itself will stretch the north backline, forcing them to place one of the talls back.

I think that there is more chance of this happening than some of you think.

As scotty said, it is the ONLY way to retain the structure we have in place currently, and Bomber & co. would be silly not to have a good look at it.

There is absolutely no way that Playfair should me getting a game in the finals. He is a good player at VFL level but always struggled at AFL. i would rather risk going in a little undersize down back than risk playing him

Wont happen.

Rooke in, with him to play the role that Harley has been playing with Harley to play the role that Egan was.
And dont forget one Jimmeh Bartel slipping back there as well.
IMO with those two in we are just as strong acorss the back half. If Hank gets in it is to improve his value on trade day at the end of the year.
Thats it.

There isn't a snowballs chance in hell (IMO) that they'd play a player in a Qualifying Final just to make his value in a possible future trade a bit higher.

Yeah, Bartels as another inclusion doesn't do us any harm either... :)

Might be a very resilient snowball..........

Thats what im expecting to happen, Harley was going to be our CHB for the year but Egan exploded and Harleys injury forced him elsewhere. But Harley is easily capable of taking their CHF and doing a great job, especially since their are no J Brown/Riewoldt types in the finals. And Rooke can easily take Harleys spot IF he is fit. Not to forget all our defenders help each other out.

I have a horrible feeling Playfair might be selected this week.

I'm told there was alot of "back slapping" for Henry from team mates at training which might suggest todays team meeting went something like .......

Now boys - I know you all think he's no good but we're picking Henry this week because he is 198cm tall and weighs 100kg's - and that's a good enough reason.
