Since this weekend we are playing there and don't play there too often why don't we at least get one home game there each year. Is it because we don't get the crowds number of members etc?? But I think that doesn't fly with me. All Vic teams at least should be playing at least one home game there.

-We don't have the attendance or memberships
-AFL have an agreement for X games at Ethiad.

At lest it isn't another Richmond home game at Ethiad and miss out all together.

It's worth noting that we have had a few home games at MCG in the prelim final years, obviously more were turning up at the time. We had vs North and someone else.

We used to one home game there quite often against interstate clubs. Now with Kangaroos playing games in Tassie taking games away from Ethiad, Carlton wanting to play more home games at the G etc, it means we suffer and we play all our home games at Etihad.

I would love to watch the dogs and sink full strength Carltons at the Frank Grey Smith, but it's just not gonna happen for reasons listed above.

I scored some mcc tiks tomorrow so dont really mind but all in all i prefer etihad
I don't mind either but I think as Doggies fans we are used to Etihad now. Etihad is good in that it has a roof and that your always quite close to the action.

Nothing wrong with the stadium as an observer (ground still has some questions for me). Watching the Blues/Eagles game they had 34,000 and a very full stadium at that level. Happy to play in the smaller stadium to be honest.

And etihad is easier to get to from the west and north of melb where most dog supporters live

Yes thats a fair point. Im in the east myself and to be perfectly honest its not hard at all to get to Etihad with the train from where I am or even to the Whitten Oval.
