Slightly off topic (and may have been said somewhere already), but if Ballas does go to the slime, you can kiss goodbye to the Ballas wing at Peel... Isn't that on the grandstand? A suitably descriptive name could be found.

Doubt he gives a shit, but just saying that signage shouldn't be visible for our up and comers...

The Judas wing perhaps?

Maybe I'm over reacting (I am). Anyone but the slime surely

Really not sure about Williams. Can't say I've seen a whole lot of him, but there seems to be a striking difference between his good and bad days. We definitely don't need more inconsistent players.

In saying that, if Langdon has his mind made up we don't really have a leg to stand on.

I don't mind Williams. I think we miss a bit of hardness in the backline. Only Spurr and now Collin's would put fear into the forward leading back into space. He has pace and is quite tough. If he comes back would slot in nicely. Not sure it fixes our rebounding issues. Mind you I think the issue is further up the ground than actually the backmen.

This is what a Pies fan said about Williams on the MB.

You can have Williams. Clubs had enough of him.

Apparently got in club suspension earlier in the season for doing some stupid crap. Clubs done a lot for Marley including getting him out of jail time and hasn't repaid the faith given to him by the club. He's always partying too.

I'd be looking at both Witts and Williams from Collingwood but we'd need to get them as cheaply as possible. Witts is far from B22 for them and I'd suggest he would be very keen for a fresh start elsewhere. He's shown some good form in the past so worth a cheap gamble. Williams has baggage, seems out of favour with the Pies, rumours he wants to come home and to reset his footy career but he has also shown some good form in patches previously - he is a good defender. Both of them could continue the spiral downwards but may also turn it around and come good.

Langdon on the other hand is at the very start of his AFL journey and has developed enormously this year and there are no signs he won't continue to do so. I'd have his value ahead of those other two by a fair margin and suspect the club very much wants to keep him and him leaving is a long way from guaranteed yet. If he was to want out I'd ask for a 2nd rounder and look at any trades involving their players separately. We cannot give him away for nothing only to then see him become a gun off the back of our investment in his development. His potential is far beyond anyone Collingwood would be willing to give up imo, so no rounding down on his worth please.

I am into getting Witts over too. Williams I use to think he went alright especially in the period following when he got off his assault charge but he has been ordinary this season. New start, new coach might improve his form.

Although I believe Langdons value isn't as high as a 2nd rounder yet but he would have to form part of the trade, maybe throw in a 3rd or something.

I wouldn't mind Witts for Langdon as that means we can offload both Clarke and Hannath and we have enough cover for an English/Goddard draft to mature.

I'd caution against under valuing our players. We picked up Langdon with a 3rd rounder and I think he has so far shown almost as much promise as Weller (who was a first rounder). Plenty of third rounders amount to nothing so surely he has to have increased in value since being drafted? I'm not thinking early second but there is no question in my mind Langdon will end up a future B22 lock in the next couple of years.
