No word on Alex Johnson?

We currently have 35 players signed to our senior list for next year and beyond, so re-signing AJ to the senior list or even picking up a player from another club all depends on trading out a currently contracted player like for like.

Also for the record we have currently 3 Cat A Rookie Spots available.

This is the reason I think horse is stubborn as he likes blokes that he has it over and might not like to be told from a new face
I agree he is stubborn but I think the issue lies more with the fact that the coaches & the leaders are on a similar level in our system. In other words I think the leaders have plenty to do with decision making on who should play & where they should play. Horse backs them in but unfortunately last week it all fell apart.

It's always good to have a cleanout but I can't see too many coaches moving on other than Dew.
I agree that Macca should have gone elsewhere for a few years like Kirk did.

Definitely. Macca has only experienced the Swans system, and, I think you would learn a lot as a coach in different club environments. Players like Shaw/Playfair/etc... that become coaches after retiring at the Swans, at least they experienced different clubs in their careers.

I think it is a big mistake from Macca in my opinion.

He's hardly going to up stumps with a brand new baby and his other kids to consider. I'm sure he's got enough coin to not be too bothered. He can coach here or GWS when he's done without uprooting his family you would think. I'd be disappointed if we let him go west.
