With James Bell being a cat b rookie where does that leave Barry O'Connor?

Pretty sure this is incorrect and Bell is on the senior list.

Also he has the numbers wrong. After the delistings we have 33 seniors, 2 cat b and 3 cat a. My assumption is that Pick 3, Campbell and Gulden will fill three of the senior spots. Hopefully Paddy McCartin fills either the last spot or one of the Rookie spots if offered one year.
I expect one rookie spot will go to a young ruck. There are two in the academy.
At the end of that we should have one spare spot either senior or rookie.

I guess there is the question of what happens with Elijah Taylor still up in the air... could be that he is assuming Taylor isn't on the list next year?

OP is now updated.

The only question remaining is the status of Amartey being on the senior list or the rookie list. Doesn't really effect the senior list as with the 3 picks in the draft that will take us to 36 senior listed players if he is still on the rookie list and 37 if he is on the senior list. We can have between 36 and 38 players on our senior list under the new list sizes.

Either way he can play senior football and either way we have two open spots on the rookie list to use come the rookie draft if we opt to use them.

He'll be promoted to the senior list. Rookies can only spend 3 consecutive years on the RL before they need to be either promoted or delisted and re-rookied to re-set the 3 year period again. As Amartey has already spent 2018-20 on the RL, he had to be delisted to be re-rookied (like the Dogs are doing with Roarke Smith), given he wasn't, the only other option is promotion to the senior list.

With this being Amartey's 4th year I thought he had to be senior listed? Maximum period a player could be a rookie was 3years I thought

That has always been my understanding as well, but a) the club hasn't said that he has been promoted and b) who knows what the rules are anymore regarding the rookie list. Most likely is another case of what happened with Bell last year where no one really knew that he was off the rookie list until after the season started.

In any case Amartey being on the senior list or not has no effect real on our list size as I pointed out. We'll have 2 rookie list spots available either way.

EDIT: Ignore that. I have seen the Mitch Cleary edit to the article posted above. Amartey is senior listed. OP now updated

OP updated.

Taking into account Pick 3 and matching bids for the two academy players, we will have 3 overall list spots open from that point taking our senior list to 36 players which is the minimum size our senior list can run at.

I would expect any other selections to be rookie list selections for the $80,000 that sits outside the cap.
