So I'm still having download speed issues, even after tinkering with the DNS... Surely I'm not the only one.
Are you still having issues?

Well, I have noticed my download speeds are indeed getting slower and slower, and I have a feeling the last firmware update did it; for a couple days after the update my wired conncetion wass okay, not as fast as before but ok. This last week now, whether wired or not, my speeds have decreased massively. It took a 6gb game nearly all day to download, previously I could download 6gb in little more than an hour or two. I sent a message to Sony to see if they have any answers.

Woah Dave! is a free PS4/PS Vita title at the moment (seperate from Playstation Plus). No idea if it's a good game or not but its free so why not add it to your library.

Yeah but after reading stuff online simply seems to be that PSN is just wonky
I'm not sure, my connection used to be quick. I have noticed though, that if I pause downloads a few times and unpause, the speeds get back to what they were. Might take a few tries, but it works.

Does anyones console make a weird buzzing noise when you insert a disc? My Disc drive on the way out?

EDIT: The Noise gets louder when reading/loading up the game :(

No. I think you might be right though, my disc reader laser or whatver on the PS3 did the same thing, loud buzzing/crunchy sort of sound, ended up having to replace it twice. Luckily it was under warranty, yours should be too.

Yeah, that could have been regarding the issue I had (with my PS4 randomly ejecting discs).

From memory, somebody mentioned (probably back around Jan/Feb) that even though the warranty might have been only 12 months, consumers should still have a reasonable expectation that the product they buy will last 'a decent amount of time' (i.e not just a year) and therefore companies should still be willing to replace a faulty product that has defects whilst still being fairly 'new'.

Just got my platinum for Infamous Second Son First Light - pretty easy (second this week after the Order haha).

Think I might pick up Bloodborne tonight after work. Sounds brutally hard according to some mates. :D

hey guys just moved to a fairly rural area.. looking into getting Internet connected and although it seems I can get it here I don't think the speeds can handle online gaming.. mainly fifa!

this is from mybroadband.com website

Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) availability > C
The area surrounding your address has some access to ADSL services delivered over the copper network.

Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) quality > E
This is the lowest ADSL quality rating as the average speed of ADSL services delivered over the copper network in your area are low when compared to ADSL services available in other areas.
he estimated median ADSL speed for your area is (Mbps): 2.12

will my connection be able to handle it?

thanks lads!
