That really isn't that much ventilation when you consider how small the console is tbh. I dunno, maybe I'm just use to the high number of vents on the 360 slim/X1.

Have read that there's hidden vents on the sides though.

One thing that worries me about the PS4 console is that there doesn't seem to be much ventilation, I don't think Sony can afford an RROD-like disaster. But I'll trust Sony given their experience with electronics .
I had similar fears after seeing the size of it at E3 and after falling victim of a 360 rrod. After seeing the Mark Cerny vid someone posted here a while back where he said they started planning the ps4 in 08? (someone will remember exactly:rolleyes:) that they will def get this right....

im going to pre order a ps4 this tuesday and on your site it says not guaranteed on launch day. will i get one on launch day if i pre order on tuesday?
You may get one on launch day. The quicker you order, the easier it will be to get one. But as it states, it won't be guaranteed

So once we closed on Friday, we had pre ordered all our our guaranteed stock from Sony for launch, meaning we would still take orders, but we can't be sure we'll get it for first shipment for those that ordered from yesterday onwards

We will try to get Sony to give us more stock, and if that happens, its a first in first served basis. I would try and order today if you can (you can order online and choose a store to pick up from if you can't get to a store today) The quicker you order, the higher your place in line

How is the XB1 going with pre-orders after the reversal?
Much improved, but the amount of people who are unaware of the reversal is staggering. So many times i have had to correct people that the once a day connection is no longer required

Does Microsoft receive all of the data relating to pre orders? i.e. they could see that 10,000 have be preordered Australia wide (maybe even more specific on a local scale).

Of course. they know exactly how many orders have been taken, how many copies of a game has been sold. Everything

Glenno...why doesn't EB allow payment of pre-order via their webpage?

You can pre-order but any further payments you want to make you need to go in store. It's annoying having to go in every time I want to put some money down on my XB1 or PS4.

Dunno mate. I only deal with in store stuff. It may be one of the things we are looking at, as well as using gift cards online too
