Not enough intellect to come up with an intellectual response?
For those playing at home, Street Fighter, Tekken, Mortal Kombat, Virtua Fighter, Dead or Alive etc were all influenced/inspired by other games. The creators of some of these franchises are even on record as saying that their publisher wanted them to make something like Karate Champ/Street Fighter etc. By GrandBlue logic, that makes them all cash in imitations and deserving of unwavering hate.
The history of the fighting game genre is rife with ideas and concepts being stolen and tweaked, expanded upon etc. The same is true of most genres, but the fighting genre in particular was rampant. Every current fighting game at one point could have been considered a clone. After time, they established themselves with their own identity.
