Little Nightmares was already on there.

Massive * yes to the Tony Hawks 2 remake.

Might give Yakuza a go. Hearing good things. Where's a good place to start?

Yakuza: Like A Dragon is a game with a different main protagonist than the original Yakuza games and looks set to become its own series with the sequel already announced. Even though some of original characters show up in later chapters of LAD, for the most part, nothing is spoilt. You can pick LAD up and play it before the original Yakuza games (0-6) or you can play the originals first. You can’t really go wrong.

The original Yakuza’s are all in Japanese with subtitles and LAD has a English voice option. Don’t let that deter you, the original Yakuza games are all fantastic.

Thanks, this is really helpful info for someone who has long looked at the Yakuza games and thought, "But which one is the first one?" :D

Lost Judgement is in the Yakuza series too. One of my favourite series even I haven't played them all. The stories are actually quite gripping and often very heavy but is evened out with Japanese kinds of bonkers. Like A Dragon probably isn't the best representation of the series as it's quite different from the others as mentioned but it's still a great entry point and no prior knowledge is needed.

You’re welcome! :)

Yeah, Judgment and Lost Judgement are excellent too and vastly different experiences. Neither are on PS Plus but I wouldn’t be surprised if eventually they will be.

Couldn't get into Lost Judgement at all. How similar to the Yakuza games is it?

Pretty similar combat and formula wise. Difference is the setting. It's in the same setting as Like A Dragon where as the rest of the main Yakuza series and the first Judgement are in the iconic Kamurocho. Oh, and in Judgement you're kind of the good guy vs being Yakuza.

Lost Judgement has probably one of the weakest stories too IMO. Depends on what you didn't like about it but the best way to see if you'll like the series or not I still think is Yakuza 0.

Not to mention that Judgment and LS are spin-offs of Yakuza and your character is a defense attorney. There are no original Yakuza characters in these two games. The games aren’t a continuation of Yakuza.

Don't think I have ever played a yakuza game (maybe one that was on PS+ previously?) Are they good? Is it worth me starting at 0 and working my way through when they release?

In a way, probably the best way to play them. 0-6 and then LAD. That way you will know every character that appears in LAD.

All the games are pretty much the same with new game play addtions added along the way. some might find repetive playing the same type of game over and over again but if your ok with that you will have a blast

When tf are these Yakuza games coming? I thought the first lot was coming when the plus titles changed for August. :(

I was trying to work this out last night and all I could find was that they were "starting to come August 2022 with Like A Dragon". Sounded like the others were later but I couldn't find exactly when with that vague wording.

0, Kiwami and Kiwami 2 are going to be on Plus this month, with 3, 4 and 5 coming at some stage this year and 6 coming this year too, but it will be the last one to drop. No confirmed dates.
