these are third party games that have just been released. i don't know exactly what sony offers as remuneration for games to go on ps plus, but it would take a bit in order for the respective publishers to effectively cannibalise their sales on these games this early into their life cycle (particularly transistor considering the size of the developer and reliance upon the game being a financial success)

these are the sorts of games that will probably have ps plus discounts in a few months and then possibly be free late in the year/early next.
 
Resogun was on PS+ from release, outlast, contrast too I believe. Give me Knack then, if people haven't bought it by now they are never going to.

Need to renew might just get the 12 month subscription as i have heaps of PS Plus titles on PS3 & VITA i've yet to finish.

I bought knack to play with the GF and really enjoyed it, I am not a PS+ member but it would be a good get later in the year

Resogun was published by Sony and it and Contrast were both launch titles which were obviously free from the beginning. Outlast had already been out for months on PC, so there's less of a sales problem. All those other games only just came out and would be selling at full price.

Plus as mentioned there's less incentive for PS+ now that it's required for MP.
 
So as suspected the new PS+ games on PS4 are garbage, with Towerfall being average and the only one not instantly deleted after trying.

Strider would be good...... if it was 1994. Wouldn't look out of place as a mobile phone game.
Doki Doki....... This is awful, anyone who actually paid money for that needs to sell their PS4.
Towerfall... I've kept this on the PS4 for now, only tried the first 2 levels but it feels very basic and shallow. No online multi is the real killer for me but will give the single player more of a go before i decide to keep it or not. Hopefully there's a bit more variety coming up, bosses or some kind of extra objective would help.

Good thing i still have Trine 2 and Pixel Junk Shooter to play, Games for Gold on X1 wins this month by a fair margin with Gucamelee STE.
 
Premiers you need IRL friends. I had a mate over and we played Towerfall for like 4 hours straight. It needs more levels though because we beat the game (it only has like 10 levels) and started to breeze through it on hardcore mode.

Batman is also up now to download if you haven't got it already.

Yeah some IRL gamer friends would be nice. Brothers are casuals who only play the AAA shit so rules them out too :( Kids aren't old enough to play and wife is hopeless at games that arent wii waggle-fests so I guess I'm gamingforeveralone.jpg

Sucks coz multiplayer looks fun from the videos i watched, might play through solo and trophy whore...... unless there's multiplayer based trophies :oops:

Yea im not even going to waste the bandwith this month, still got Pixeljunk and Trine 2 to finish off from last month and have Black Flag to go back to before i grab Wolfenstein lol, AND i just finished the story in Watchdogs but can still see myself finishing off the Convoys and a few other things in that so my gaming is all good for a while.

Yeah, strider is cool.

There seems to be a fairly strong contingent of people who dislike indie games with simplistic mechanics and won't give them a chance.

Having said that, I could see Strider as an mobile phone game and it would probably be ideal to play in short bursts like that.

Yeh, this sucks. Been looking since Sunday wondering why no PS+ threads have any news. Hopefully not flower. Everyone who bought that on ps3 already gets it free on ps4.
