Finished up Thomas Was Alone. Outstanding game, one of the best PSN titles I've played.

Just really spoke to me in every way shape and form. Although the ending was extremely vague and confusing.

Decent length too, probably around 3-4 hours at a guess? Plenty of levels with every increasing difficulty, but never anything too strenuous.

Highly recommend.

Played this Thomas Was Alone for about an hour today - had no idea what to expect - in short it's a surprisingly enjoyable game for what it is so far.

It's hard to put into words what the attraction is, but the music combined with the narration gives it this sombre feeling - which is odd coz all you're doing is moving shapes around.

For some reason I found the combination of the above with the games overall simplicity kind of heart warming.

Some I found really easy, but some I just couldn't get my head around for ages.
You have to move bloody quickly as well.

I don't mind it. Gameplay can get pretty repetitive, but it's broken up with fairly long cutscenes, so you're not just doing the same thing over and over.

I haven't played through heaps of it yet, though. Probably a third of the way through.

I ended up turning the difficulty down to easy on Catherine so I could find out what happens quicker, yet some of the puzzles I'll still die a bunch of times on. Some of them are super frustrating and a lot of the time I think I've just arsed my way to the end, but it still feels rewarding when you get there.

Agreed. Loved the game but geez some of the boss fights were tough and the last few stages pushed me close to rage.

Followed some online vids to see how some people beat the final level and even then (pausing the video every 2-3 seconds) still managed to die heaps. After about 25 attempts, finally finished the game.

Best part of the game IMO is when you're in the bar. Cut scenes were great too and helped drive the story. Love the music too

On easy, I found most of the latter ones to be almost tear inducing

Easily the hardest game I've passed since Ninja Gaiden Sigma

Anyone going to play/download kingdoms of amalur? Love RPGs like this but after playing the demo, didn't really warm to it and so I didn't buy it.

Glad to have the chance to play the full game for free. Hopefully it's good fun - pretty sure I heard the studio behind it went bankrupt though so sadly, probably won't see a sequel unless the rights are sold to another developer.

I have the game on disc already. It's not a bad game but I did kind of lose interest in it quickly.I think it got overshadowed a lot by Skyrim.

The PS Blog have denied that the image is up to date and things have changed. But August looks like a great month! Have also always liked the look of Payday. Wouldn't be upset with that content.

Meh, havent bothered re-subscribing to plus, gaming time has been cut significantly lately, over this gen and in a bit of a gaming slump atm. Pretty much 3 more games i'll get for PS3 and im done, GTAV, The Last Of Us and Beyond. I dont need a backlog of things to play when I'm either getting rid of the PS3 or modding it when the PS4 releases.
