You'll need double the space. 17GB for the download, and 17GB for the install. Once finished installing you'll get 17GB back though.

I've been caught out with that quite a few times. Had to delete a fair bit to get Ni No Kuni installed (22GB download).

Upgraded to a 1TB hard drive recently. Well worth the trouble of doing it IMO. Drive was about $70 or $80 IIRC.

Ahhh righto. Thanks for that.

Yeah had a skim online and can get a decent upgrade for about $100. Might be worth it with the amount I'm getting from PS+.

I take it everything you have stored on there stays?

Yeah got just under 60 larger disc based games on it, plus about 120 download only games. Still got a little over 200GB left.

I got the Hitachi TravelStar 1TB (5400rpm) from MSY. Is $85 on their site at the moment. I don't know much about what's good or not with HDDs, but saw this model mentioned as one a few people on Whirlpool had bought.

Was very easy to do, but just need to be careful with the screws, especially the blue one.

I just followed the guide at Whirlpool here: http://whirlpool.net.au/wiki/ps3_hdd
Note also that on that page they list some Western Digital drives which apparently don't work with PS3.

Damnit... picked up Hitman on disc the other week for 25 bucks and thought that was a good price :(

Do they post of list of upcoming games anywhere?
It was known what the games would be probably about three weeks ago if you just check their website.

Ahhh well. The disc is always better than the digital version anyway ;)

I hope the PS4 comes with like 100000g.

that would be nice....hopefully the launch edition is AT LEAST 1tb though.
i think we'll be needing that sort of space more than ever this time around.

i'll certainly be going for the highest storage capacity at launch as the psn title games and ps+ will be where the bulk of my gaming lies next gen i'm going to assume.
it was already pretty close to it this gen actually.

Here's hoping.

PS+ is easily the best investment I've made in my gaming history.

Instead of 5 games a year that are generally shooters, I'm actually getting to play a variety of types of games without smashing my bank balance. Had to get my storage space upgraded so altogether it's cost me about $220 to truly take advantage of it.

Started MotorStorm Apocalypse last night - I'm generally not a racing fan besides Mariokart - but I'm loving it.

Apocalypse is only the 2nd racer in a very long time that I've liked enough to play all the way through.

Burnout Paradise being the other, which I completed twice, then bought the DLC for.

They clearly had more ambition than their budget allowed for, but that didn't stop them creating an amazing game.

It's got me interested in Drive Club now solely on how much I enjoyed Apocalypse.

Finished Hitman on Monday night and started playing a game called 'Catherine' - very strange game, never played anything like it before. If you're into anime, reckon you would love it. Seems to have a pretty interesting story though I'm only 30 mins in. Quite enjoyable so far - especially the puzzle sections which require quick thinking.

I can't help but think it's some sort of Hentai every time it loads the background screen on my dashboard.

Not sure if that's saying something about me or not...

Awww, I already have ICO and SotC :(.

Anyone played Kindoms of Amalur? I've heard it was pretty crappy.

Will attempt Demon's Souls. First time I tried it I gave up pretty quickly :p

Reading some reviews (I know they're subjective) and they weren't terrible. Never know until you play it I guess.
