Helldivers is ok, I'd hate to play it solo though. With friends is fun especially when they one shot you with their shotgun as you're throwing your grenade and then that grenade falls to the floor and kills them. Mission failed. DemonJim

It was alright... and hilarious when you kept running in front of me when I'm shooting bad guys! Just as you were about to throw a grenade!

Definitely better with friends to play with...

Yeah It's bad solo, tried it solo the other day and got pretty shit quick, so then just joined randoms for a couple hours. Was much better even with randoms.

Yep gave Helldivers a crack last night, played for about an hour solo just to get to grips with it but found I needed co-op to finish even 'Easy' missions (level 3 or whatever)

Game is brutally and often hilariously hard. Getting squashed by the turret you just called in ftw, or forgetting to hit the deck when said turrent begins firing. Reckon I'll persist with it for awhile though, good option when you only have half an hour or so the squeeze in some gaming.

Yeah pretty fun, been playing up to 4 people.

The game gets a bit repetitive though. Don't think you can play for more than an hour at a time, even with friends.

Done with Helldivers. Its actually pretty cool but just too repetitive, needs some sort of end-game goal to drive you towards rather than just levelling up. I know its got the conquer the bug/cyborg/whatever homeworld, its not enough, almost needs some sort of single player driven narrative even if its just a static cut-scene here and there ala the intro.
