GwG has the advantage of being relatively new though. PS+ was terrific for months and months before GwG was even a thing, and the latter also started off poorly. Plus has covered a loooooot of games in that time; they're simply running out of options until the PS4 release games are old enough to justify them being free. I imagine the selection will pick up later in the year.

Microsoft has started giving away retail ONE games though. Lords of the Fallen this month and Sunset Overdrive next month.

Sony is out of excuses other than they're on top.

The 360 games are less of an issue as most of the excellent games Microsoft are putting up were PS+ games months ago like Bioshock Infinite, Borderlands, etc.

But Microsoft are smoking Sony on the current gen offerings.

I agree. But to say GwG is the better overall service based on a few good months when Plus had its measure for a long, long time is pure hyperbole imo. Sony desperately need to up their offerings but as it stands it has definitely offered the best value for money in terms of monthly free games.

PS+ destroys GwG on the digital and indie offerings with stuff like Resogun, Outlast, Dont Starve, Binding Of Isaac, Rocket League, Pixel Junk Shooter, Rogue Legacy, Transistor....... but notice how old all of those are? Sony have no reason to keep the quality up when it's compulsory to play online and they are doubling the sales of their competition. You need some recognizable retail offerings to keep things interesting and for consumer confidence.

There's no excuse to not have things like Killzone (which was offered in japan a year ago) Knack, The Order, Infamous Second Son & Little BigPlanet 3 from their first party library. We did get Infamous First Light, a short expansion and a bare bones version of Driveclub. All these PS2 re-releases, throw 1 in PS+ every so often wouldn't hurt either, MS are offering 360 games for free for Xbox One owners.

Then there's the 3rd party stuff, if MS can have Assassins Creed Black Flag and Rayman Legends, what's stopping Sony? I'm not even going to bring EA Access into the conversation, something Sony decided it's players wouldn't be interested in

If it wasn't tied to MP I would've stopped subscribing a long time ago. I don't play anything online on the Xbox One and I've still got that subscribed because there's more value in the offerings with next month single handedly destroying everything PS+ has put out since Rocket League.

I'd rather not get anything from either service and have free online.

I played Zombi on Wii U and thought it was really good although a big part of that was the use of the gamepad which was done well. It's worth a shot for free.

I remember I Am Alive being one of my most anticipated games back in the day and then it turned out to be shit as well. Never heard of Dead Star

I bought Zombi on XB1 when it first came out because I had wanted to try it on WiiU but never got around to it. It's decent. Nothing special but definitely worth a download.
