Does 2k23 have a bullshit my player career like 22 did? I don't want to walk around a city buying shoes and watching unskippable cutscenes. I just want to play ball and improve my own player.
It's the absolute worst. I just want to play games with my player. The amount of ****ing around you had to do to actually play games made it unplayable.

There isn't that much you have to do.....
I've sunk probably 3 hrs into it and 2hrs of that was not playing a game. Asked media questions, go run down to the barber etc etc.

Not interested. Just let me play the games, with at most a question at the end of the game.

I feel I put about as much time into it as you did. I have no idea why 2k decided to flesh out the non basketball side of my player so much. When it first started with the spike lee directed (in I want to guess 2k16?) shit it was okay. 1 year of a few cutscenes and a couple of post match press conferences then it was just playing ball.

Now I have a whole damn city to slowly trudge through and buy shoes and shit I don't care about. I don't want an RPG, I want to just play ball and improve my stats :(

Yeah 100% the same. Was the sole reason I stopped playing it.

Even having to run into the stadium after every game is annoying as ****. Should be able to just play straight from a menu (like the GM mode).

Does the Jurassic World game have a story to speak of, with an ending, or is it just one of those sandboxy type games?
There are multiple modes. One is a campaign where you're working towards accomplishments with an 'ending', another is a scenario mode where you're playing through situations loosely tied to the movies, then there is the usual sandbox. Not really a "story mode" though in the truest sense. It's a great game, I had a blast with it.

Nice. Sounds good. Love dinos so will probably give it a go. I just found with like the old Rollercoaster Tycoon games I'd lose interest after a few hours if not working "towards" something.

Keen for Jurassic Park. Didn't mind the first game also loved the OG back on Ps2 as a kid.

I'd probably rather download NBA 2K15 over playing recent 2Ks

MyPlayer in 2k22 sucked hard because you had to beat other noobs in some fenced off playground a few times just to get into the ****ing City.

Haven't played it in 2k23, but I've also stopped playing MyTeam since like Season 3.

The biggest problem with NBA 2K games is that it has the most toxic community ever. Occasionally you can match up with someone who isn't a complete ****wit, but it's rare.

Has anyone took advantage of the 25% discount to PS plus.

Is it worth it for 12 months at $25% off.
Trying to weigh up if I should.

Currently I'm doing monthly

Im currently paid up on deluxe till Feb 2025. I had it stacked a few years from days of play and black friday sales.

Paying monthly seems a rip when 2-3 times a year they have 25%-30% off subs. and then all the specials they have for expired subs every few months.

I wouldnt go for Deluxe since the classic library isnt worth the extra money. Had i known that when they started the new PS+ i would of just gone with extra but because of the years i had stacked it was still a good deal.

Thanks for the heads up. Sony did the right thing this time and allowed existing members to also use the discount. The last time they had this same discount (3-4 months ago), it was only for new members.

Is the only difference with deluxe the classic games?

Mine's up soon and I haven't played a single classic game since this started. If that's all it is, I'll drop it down a tier.

Yeh, that annoyed me. I was going to drop down to Extra, but it was cheaper to go the Deluxe discount. I really wanted to be able to drop to Extra AND get the discount.
