That's huge. You've got me even more keen on this game now.

PS Plus stepping up massively for October I must admit.
Just be aware that there is a huge amount of dialogue and it can be pretty out there sometimes. It's not really a 'switch your brain off' game.

Why play through it twice on two different consoles at the same time?

Makes it worthwhile, I doubt I'll keep up the pace for a game like that and end up playing through one version once and the other platform later on (Christmas time if it's still up).

And I can play the same game across multiple platforms without much effort. I routinely play MK 11 on pc, PS5, Xbox at the same time

Rocket League I'll play a few games on one platform before switching to another.

I've evolved from buying Fifa/nba2k on multiple systems just to play online with different friends (late 2000s).

This is madness. I've never heard of anybody doing this before. Must be brutal on the wallet and progression-wise. Especially in a game like MK, which is all about unlocking stuff.

Xtreme is an extremely weird dude if you've seen him post over the years. Look at his grand final view counts in his sig lol.

Correct me if I'm wrong Xtreme but weren't you/are you the guy who wears the Indian cricket team shirt despite being a white Aussie dude just because you hate the Aussie cricket team?

Yes that was my brat era and it wasn't solely to do that, but it was an added bonus. As far as team gear goes I stick with Hawthorn or other sport team gear. I did wear a Swans guernsey in 2016 grand final shenanigans :p

It's not that bad I'm fairly strategic with purchasing for example Arkham Asylum back in the day. I purchased it 6 times (standard and goty editions on ps3/360/pc), but the most I paid for it was $59 (Harvey Norman was a good place to shop for games back then), the other 5 copies were purchased on the cheap (Steam for less than $6 etc). Including the "return to arkham" remastered releases on xbo/ps4 (so 8 copies all up) I spent less than the price of the original collectors edition.

And for me it was worth playing again as the game is one of my favourites from that era - and earning the trophies + achievements was another motivating factor. Likewise the Grand Theft Auto series (did have GTA on psx and pc) I've got multiple copies of III-VC-San Andreas (pc-ps2 etc, even have multiple copies on both platforms with a variation of game covers!).

Something like MK11 - Most I paid was $28 for the standard edition then another xx amount for the Aftermath DLC. The ps5 and pc versions were under $20. So in effect I spent $89 which was about the RRP for the standard edition on release. Oh and I'm pretty much just playing one version properly while letting the AI fight on the others at the same time!!

I haven't purchased multiple versions of sports games on a regular basis for years. I did get Fifa 23 twice (one copy came with the ps5 purchase, the other xbox copy was $15 5 months later).

And yes going by my signature (which... the Hawthorn portion at least hasn't truly been updated in ages now - and relax I don't watch them as often as I used to, in recent years it's literally reserved for footy finals time or when I need some cheering up and Hawthorn matches do that for me :p) - I do like repetition. This is going back to when I was little - I saw movies like Terminator, Terminator 2 quite often (got to the point where I knew I over watched them and something like T2 - I went almost 8 years without watching it haha).

I enjoy replaying games, even in the NES days (when I was like 10) I'd play the original Super Mario Bros, clock all 8 worlds, then immediately replay it from the beginning. Same in later years, beat M.Bison in Street Fighter 2.... replay the game again immediately.

Yeah it's a poop month.

Recently went and played Mafia 1 and thought it was a really decent remaster so figured I would replay Mafia 2 and it was just horrible.

PS Plus discounts coming with black friday sales. It just says "up to 30%". I've searched for other articles and they state the same thing. Existing subscriptions can get an upgrade discount too.

If you're like me and let your sub expire after the increase then to grab Extra (doesn't look like Essential is included) at 30% off it will be around $120, but a 20% discount puts it back at the old price of $135.
