As Sonic is my only not owned for this one, I'll take your word for your kids recommendation on it also.

It's not overly challenging, but it's definitely fun. Every different world has a different ability/power up which keeps it pretty fresh. Even on the Wii it was a pretty beautiful looking game so I'm pretty keen to see it in HD.

I find these mid month extra/premium catalogue games are often better than the trash that gets served up for the monthly essentials. I can finally have a crack at Prince of Persia.

Yeah if you buy a lot of games on release it may not be worth it, but I'm 2 years behind on my backlog so I get at least double what it costs in value every year

Played the 1st 'level' on Robocop. Was almost as clunky as pantskyle

Feels exactly how I'd assume Robocop would function, so in a sense its pretty true to Robo... problem is that doesn't translate to an overly fun game mechanic.

Dialogue and voice acting was pretty cheesy, but the music was a great nostalgia hit.

I usually rate a game based on how long I play it per session. I can only stomach Robocop in 30-40 minute sessions.

I played it for 10 minutes. Should never have bothered. I'll certainly be a bit more cautious about recommendations on here from now on.

I started off thinking it was average, but it took until part way through mission 2 before it finally clicked. Didn't appreciate the investigation side of things (it drags on).

It got REALLY good after that, and if you level your abilities faster its like a whole bew game (no reloading weapons etc etc). Doing a NG+ run through with everything unlocked is rad.
