I was a prick and demanded he resign and get away from our football club. I happily admit i was wrong and made a massive tool of myself. Please feel free to abuse me and throw a Steggles amount of egg on my face with the garbage i said about you. I'm a loser and you coached us to a premiership. I am drunk but still, even sober....it doesn't change. I LOVE YOU BOMBER!

That makes two of us. I have waited a long long time for this and am enjoying now. Thanks Mr Thompson

I thought Bomber was gonna get the arse and at the time I would've been pretty happy with the decision, I'll gladly eat my humble pie, he's done well.:thumbsu:

I was ready for him to get the arse last year as well so i'll eat my share of humble pie too. I'll get an extra large serve because I also had Lingy written off too.

I add my retraction for all I said by way of condemnation during 2006 - I don't care if it was warranted now! You have earned our admiration this year and good on you! One of the happiest days of my life - thanks, Bomber.:thumbsu:

I apologise too.

Thank you, Geelong Football Club, for giving me the best footy season of my life. I've never seen such good footy played by any team, so consistently.

Hear hear, I was one of the biggest critics of Thompson earlier in the year out there, but tonight it is all forgiven, given Judd's exodus from West Coast we should be ready for sustained success, bring on a dynasty!!!

Probably means very little but today was as dominant a performance as I have seen, and I am happy my Eagles didn't make it there and get flogged in the big one...I have two good mates who have copped it for years and today got their revenge, thumbs up and let 44 years of frustration out tonight :thumbsu::thumbsu:

All of you take a bow! It takes character to come out and admit you were wrrr... wrrrrr...

Let's remember this next time we are getting frustrated with a coach or player. Just think, this time last year Geelong and St Kilda were in similar positions, having under-achieved. St Kilda sacked their coach and we stuck with ours. The results this season tell an interesting story... Sacking a coach might appease some people but it rarely brings a quick fix, especially if the new coach is inexperienced.

Go you mighty mighty Catters!

Gotta say, you've got balls Renegade. Respect to you (even if you were drunk when writing this!).:thumbsu::p

I was definitely 50/50, and wouldn't have been upset if he got the boot. So glad the club knew what it was doing. So, not only credit to Bomber, but to Cook for his review as well - great stuff!:thumbsu:

St Kilda, Melbourne and Freo all made the finals last year and sacked their coaches this year. Did the right thing by sticking with our bloke. I suspect missing the finals last year, and losing to Sydney the year before, might turnout to be the best thing to ever happen to the Cats.

The only time I actually had any doubts was when we were beaten by the Roos last year, but everyone knows that the effort we put in that day was unacceptable and again that loss was the catalyst for the best season any club has ever seen.
