This guy is useless. If only we coulda had the Saints take him and Dempster instead of schnieder.
yeah, it's almost time
mcveigh and leo stepped up and had a go saturday night
and i'm not saying bevan didn't, but by crikey he makes some dreadful decisions
just seems to have developed NO footy smarts whatsoever
bevan out, barlow in

Absolutely... Bevans number was up last year when Malthouse allowed him to get the ball and everyone zoned off cause they knew he would make a bad decision.

Lets go BARLOW!!!!

What? Two goals, a contested mark and three clangers?

Actually it probably was his best game

F***ing hack.
14 possies, 6 of which were contested, 4 tackles, two goals is good for someone in Bevan's role. I'm not saying he should be in ahead of Mathews, I'm just outlining that credit needs to be given for his role on the weekend.

Only players to have more contested possies were
Hall
O'Keefe
Mattner
J Bolton
Moore
Bird (was equal with 6).

Yes, good on him, he got a few touches, but when that is a player's "best game" after 3 years of being in the side consistantly, it's time for him to go.

Mathews averages 15.8 possies a game over his career, Bevan's "best game" resulted in 14.

Repeating the sentiments of my previous post; F***ing hack.

At the very least he can do less damage in the forward line. If Roos has to play him then play him there. BUT would an opposition coach be more worried about Nick Davis in a forward line or Bevan?

I'm going to stick up for Bevan.
His first year was awesome. Didn't he nearly win the rising star?
He's last couple of seasons were not great by any stretch of the imagination but there were plenty on the same boat.
looking at the number of possessions he gets is useless in his case. He plays as a defender. He doesn't go in after the ball. If we had him in for the centre bounce, i'm sure his possessions will pick up.

He peforms the exact same as Crouch and Mathews, but far worse. And no, he was no-where near the rising star.

I'm no Bevan fan but he had a great game yesterday. If he wasn't going to be dropped after a pretty poor game 1, there's not way he's going to be dropped after yesterday's game.

I would say if Goodes is suspended, maybe Davis might get a reprieve. That is sall.

What about Luke Power then? You're gonna stick Bevan on him?

Looks a lot more convincing with Jack on Adcock, Jude on Johnstone, Mathews on Power, Ablett on Lappin and Kirk on Black with Bucky, Schneider V2.0, Marty, Tadhg, Birdy and ROK left to create.

Rather than having Jack on Adcock, Ablett on Johnstone, Bevan on Power, Kirk on Black and one of Bird or Jude trying to shut down Lappin.

SouthSwans needs to tear up more often, IMO.

Makes for lulz.:thumbsu:
I'm normally pretty measured lol, but yeah when someone gets to saying Bevan is more effective as a stopper, a better kick, a better tackler, a better anything than Mathews I'll get a bit stroppy...

EDIT: Reading back on those posts, it would be quite funny looking at them from someone elses shoes lol.
