How'd I do?
Any obvious weaknesses?
Any obvious FA pickups?

Thanks heaps!!

Don't need to change much really... Rice in instead of Tampa and Fred Jackson in place of Berrian (For 3 weeks at least, if you think you can afford to drop a WR4). WRs are slim pickings being a 3WR league, perhaps Mason BPA with a lower ceiling but a higher floor.

Other than that, All guns blazing.

Thanks.

Bit worried about my QB situation. Worth sitting on for a few games?

Otherwise, here's the FA WRs - anyone worth grabbing??

No to Coles (Henry's been great), Mason is a consistent but boring keep.

Don't take Buckhalter, if you are going to get anyone as a short term gap, Jackson is where its at.

Personally, you underestimate McNabb, QB should be fine.

Grabbed Ray Rice before the start of the round, so now team is:

QB: Donovan McNabb
WR: Andre Johnson
WR: Anquan Boldin
WR: Braylon Edwards
RB: Matt Forte
RB: Chris Johnson
TE: Antonio Gates
W/R: Eddie Royal

K Ryan Longwell

Def: Minnesota

Bench
Knowshon Moreno
Darren McFadden
Bernard Berrian
Visanthe Shiancoe
Matt Hasselbeck
Ray Rice

Very average performance to date from a few key players and worried about McNabb's injury. I sit worth grabbing a backup QB or just sit on McNabb and play Hasselbeck for the time being?

Any other FAs worth grabbing?

TEs never do to well, so don't panic.
RBs are at a prenium, if anything, trade them
WRs performances change week to week, don't get them on the back of one (unless your desperate).

Who would you guys pick as starting QB this week, Rivers or Flacco? Playing eachother but the game is @ SD.

Depends on who you rate more? Consider that the Chargers O-line is abit banged up, Ravens conceeded 20+ points vs the Chiefs last week and also who you think can stop the RUN which I rate the Ravens D more but the game is in Charger territory... 6 hour flight for Ravens. ;)

Who to start this week (2 RBs, 3 WRs, 1 WR/RB):-

M. Forte
C. Johnson
R. Rice
D. McFadden
K. Moreno
A. Boldin
A. Johnson
B. Edwards
E. Royal
B. Berrian

??

How bout:

Boldin & McFadden

FOR

Wayne & Benson

???

Anyone else I can deal to get Wayne? The other team only has Benson, M Barker, D Ward and LJ as his RBs.

(Log in to remove this ad.)

If you can do Edwards/McFadden for Wayne/Benson or something like that, its an easy yes (Doubt you would get it though). Would leave you with 3 solid/good RBs + Benson (Viable bye week fill in) and a future possibility in Moreno, and 3 solid/good WRs in AJ/Boldin/Wayne with some less viable players in Ryoal and Berrian, but would certainly still be fine.

Went with Rivers, good decision. Should have actually been - who should I pick - Brady or Flacco? As Brady was my other QB

Hey guys

Managed to make a few moves, traded B.Edwards and R.Rice for R.White and S.Slaton and picked up P.Thomas, Flacco and Burleson.

The team now is:

QB: D.McNabb
WR: A.Johnson
WR: A.Boldin
WR: R.White
RB: M.Forte
RB: C.Johnson
TE: A.Gates
W/R: S.Slaton

K R.Longwell

Def: Minnesota

Bench
K.Moreno
P.Thomas
D.McFadden
B.Berrian
N.Burleson
J.Flacco

Bit worried about my WRs but I seem to have gathered a good RB depth.

Any thoughts on how to improve this team and my moves to date?

Also, which RBs to start this wek (need 3)??
Forte
CJ
DMC
Slaton
Thomas
Moreno

Thanks

What's so bizarre?? Asking for someones' opinion? Pretty warped sense of reality there.

And yes, tank you, I will be making the decisions but can always use some imput from people who probably know more about football than I.

A whole thread for 1 frigging fantasy team, that's what's bizarre. Maybe all 60+ fantasy teams on BF should start there own.

Let me guess, you're in a pay League?

Ahhh... no.

And where do you suggest I post? It seems to be a very league-exclusive board.

That 's fine mate, post to your hearts content.
Just thought it was a bit odd for a whole thread, said it, now just ignore it.

At least also get involved in other threads on here ....and promise you'll join AE tipping comp next season, otherwise no more help.

I'll try not to go on about it but if you happen to search ANY fantasy football site on the web, nearly every thread is a guy asking for weekly advice on his team. Otherwise, there's a general discussion thread where anyone can post (see Bigfooty NBA fantasy or Dreamteam / Supercoach). If neither are acceptable than (again) what do you suggest?

Also, all other threads are league-specific.. why would I want to get involved and I'm sure no one within the league care what anyone outside the league has to say on their trade/ FA pick up.

And finally, why should receiving advice be conditional upon joining that comp? I wasn't particularly interested before but even less now I see the way you treat a casual fantasy football participant. Then again, your refusal to help anymore isn't much of a loss anyway... from what I can see on this thread, you haven't offered any in the first place...but thanks anyway for at least conviving me never to come back... Hope you're requests for advice receive the same treatment and go unheaded in true Besanko fashion...

(That feels better)
