Barker was obviously ready to go and providing the leads from the start on saturday. I think he 'straightens' our whole team up and is now close to being our most important player.
This gives all our other forwards a chance and gives frees up Dutchy to take on a 'roving' role.

His prepareation has obviously been delayed and I'll go out on a limb to say that if he had been firing against collingwood, the result of that game could lokely have been very different. Hawks played well the first quarter but forwards (including) wasted good chances and collingwood made the most of theirs. Had we been in front at quarter time in that game then the confidence would have been higher.

I was reallly pleased to see us play out the game. apparently only 19 fit at the end of the game which might have seen us fade badly last year. I think the hawks have improved from last year which is just as well as a few other tewams have too.
