Essendon, pick 51: PMBangers, BigFooty FCIt's between me and Riley Hardeman imo, I'll give him the edge slightly
Kade DeLaRue always impresses me. Very clean and a classic one touch player. Kicked a beautuful goal on his left in the Vic Country game v Sth AustraliaEssendon, pick 51: PMBangers, BigFooty FC

Well, the AFL has never had a pom ChipmunkKnowing him from the SFA you'll end up trading him for chips after two seasons.
Still a chance he sticks with Cricket Victoria you would thinkMaybe not quite top 10, but I wouldn't be shocked to see him as a consensus first round option
Until there's an announcement from Cricket I just assume they'll stick with footy, might be a case of choosing AFL and then weighing up what he actually prefers after a season or two at the level.Still a chance he sticks with Cricket Victoria you would think
Usually the opposite.Until there's an announcement from Cricket I just assume they'll stick with footy, might be a case of choosing AFL and then weighing up what he actually prefers after a season or two at the level.
Me too.K

Didn't Collingwood trade with GCS prior to the 2021 draft to gain the extra picks for Daicos - many more than they had list spots.Hence the reason I only counted the points for the first 5 picks.
They have about 3800+ points total.
I expect GC will be trying to trade some of those late picks in to the future, to other teams that might need points in this draft.
There are ways around the list spot rule. For example, there’s no restrictions on such type of trades on draft night, with live trades.
Pretty sure the rules around it were modified during 2020 and 2021 due to COVID list size changesDidn't Collingwood trade with GCS prior to the 2021 draft to gain the extra picks for Daicos - many more than they had list spots.
They went into the draft with picks 22, 36, 41, 43, 46, 48, 58, 78 and 79. They didn't do 9 delistings.
EDIT - I can see we're disagreeing in another thread as well. I believe this rule was changed in 2019.
It's a very good 15. There are probably 10 others that could be in the 10-15 bracket (tier 3 & 4) and your 15 would look just as good.I was going to do a rankings update at some stage this week, but to be honest the Champs games we've gotten so far have just raised more questions than answers for me. At the moment, I think there's a pretty solid top 14 that would be close to unanimous and then 1 more I'm pretty high on that I'm not sure as many others would be, after that it's very much a 'throw a blanket over the rest' situation where there's too many question marks over a lot of prospects to be confident with them, although for me there's a couple like Ollie Murphy, Luamon Lual, Harry Demattia and Will Brown for example that I want to see more of at Champs level but see as potential top 20 worthy players.
Regardless, in place of a traditional top 20, here's a tier list of my top 15;
Tier 1 - Harley Reid
Tier 2 - Jed Walter, Zane Duursma, Nick Watson, Colby McKercher, Nate Caddy
Tier 3 - Ethan Read, Connor O'Sullivan, Ryley Sanders, Darcy Wilson, Mitch Edwards, Daniel Curtin
Tier 4 - Jake Rogers, Jordan Croft, Joel Freijah
I genuinely can not think of 10 players that wouldn't look out of place in that top 15, whether it be low performance standard or just flaws in there game no one else is jumping out as first round quality at the momentIt's a very good 15. Where would you place Jack Delean?I was going to do a rankings update at some stage this week, but to be honest the Champs games we've gotten so far have just raised more questions than answers for me. He's not far off given his impact in short periods of time through games, I'd have liked to see him a bit more involved defensively through the Champs given SA didn't have a lot of possession, and it would've been good if he was given time on the wing like he was in the Academy games.Where would you place Jack Delean?
Ehhhhhh I could see it but quite a few of my concerns for him currently probably aren't ones you'd want to risk in the defensive, namely his physicality and his tendency to double grab at overhead/ marks in front. I'd still favour Darcy being swung down back personally, but the athleticism of Croft may appeal moreDo you think Croft has defender attributes?
George Stevens is best as an inside midfielder at the momentStevens isn't even half as athletic as Ginbey, he's a defender at the next level
Not really, most of its translatableBit of a difference between the requirements to be a midfielder at U18s level and AFL level though isn't there![]()
I haven't got them written down anywhere or have any sort of formula to rank players but once the champs are done I'll circle back. As I said your 15 are very good but from 10-25 there is always a lot of movement. I do rate Delean more than you though. That's one that I believe could slot in easily.Out of curiosity, who are the 10?
