Who is the best player with a hyphenated name in this year's draft? Since 2004 we've had at least one hyphenated name on the list bar two years (14/15) and with Walla retiring and BZT leaving we need a new one.
Pick 8, rookie draft: Oscar Hine-Baston.Oscar Hine-Baston is the only player with a hyphenated name invited to a state draft combine, with none at the national draft combine. I suggest getting Draper to make an honest man of Guelfi finally so they can combine their surnames.

I miss ghsPeople more educated than I can confirm/deny but he gives off George Horlin - Smith (Geelong) vibes. Very good to exceptional state leaguer, struggled at AFL level
PMBangers can probably confirm this comparison
He’s coming to PortWould appreciate your thoughts Bangers. Kobe Ryan has had an exceptional year for a 19 year old playing in the SANFl league team West Adelaide. He tied for 5th in the Player of the year, tied for 7th in the Magarey Medal, not bad scoring for playing in a loosing team that was placed last. Against this year's Premiers, Glenelg, he yielded 35 disposals, 8 clearances and 12 tackles. He was awarded with the SANFL 2023 Powerade Breakthrough Player of the year, Outstanding Emerging SANFL talent. This humble lad was also voted MVP by the West Adelaide supporters, clearly respected and admired, and a very team orientated player by all account
West Coast nga kid, they hope he gets to the rookie draft so they can prelist him.Pick 8, rookie draft: Oscar Hine-Baston.
Dodoro: "Yeah, his name has elite potential. Really rate the hyphen"
Goddamn itWest Coast nga kid, they hope he gets to the rookie draft so they can prelist him.
Yeah anything is possible for him given the athleticism and scope for improvement given he's relatively new to footy, but his disposal would need some work unless you're happy with someone to just dump kick it a bunch.A couple left feild questions.
What do you think of Zane Zakostelsky as big bodied Mid? I see him a bit like a Blicavs Jnr, has the attributes to play back, forward, Mid and Ruck.
Also Another one with Versatility. Although I rate Leake best as an intercept defender how do you think he would go on a wing? It's the only position (other then ruck) I haven't seen him play and if he improves his Endurance I see him fitting it well.
I think Melbourne would be pretty happy with any of the top tier talents and probably don't have a true single target; McKercher and Duursma I think are the 'best case' options, but Curtin, Watson, Sanders, O'Sullivan and even Caddy all add to the list pretty heavily in roles of need too; O'Sullivan/ Curtin as potential May heirs, Sanders for more midfield depth, Caddy for another marking target, Watson as an upgrade on Spargo.Who's Melbourne chasing with pick 5?

You'd think with the late birthday, current rate of improvement and late switch to the code once he goes into an elite environment his rate of improvement continues to rise. His positioning and disposal can be worked on but he does alot of things you can't teach.Yeah anything is possible for him given the athleticism and scope for improvement given he's relatively new to footy, but his disposal would need some work unless you're happy with someone to just dump kick it a bunch.
I think projecting midfield is the issue. You'd think with the late birthday, current rate of improvement and late switch to the code once he goes into an elite environment his rate of improvement continues to rise. The combine results is a very small % of a club’s decision. For O’Leary it may rise him a little but for Windsor it will make no difference. The match day gps data is far more relevant. Not one player sub 8 sec for the agility. That's a big win for Caleb Windsor will go pretty high would of thought
Will it rise O'Leary when he was already noted as one of the best runners in the draft? Or will it lower him because his 20m and leap were a little underwhelming? The combine results is a very small % of a club’s decision. Correct. For some it makes no difference and for others it improves or pushes them back a few spots. As I said before. The gps data is more important and is the source of truth. Will it rise O'Leary when he was already noted as one of the best runners in the draft? Or will it lower him because his 20m and leap were a little underwhelming?
Varies club to club and prospect to prospect, can't really definitively say 'it doesn't matter all that much' when a guy like Logan Morris probably needed to show some improvement athletically across the board, or Ollie Murphy needed to show he can keep up with athletic keys at the next level

Can you manage a hyphenated first name? Jean-Luc Velissaris had a great year in the VFL.
You think his sprint time trial will push him down the order? Why, any one that has watched him play could see has excellent pace and good skills in space, contested footy not so much?
Cancel the combine?Nope, irrelevant either way.
