No one on the WC board are proposing trades where both clubs win, and that's the only type of trade academy/father son clubs are interested.

I'm sure we'd be okay letting Dean work on his rig in the gym for a season and head home for a pick in the 100s next year. Blues can pick up two other highly rated kids knowing big Harold will be on his way home 12 months later.

My biggest concern is actually a bid on Ison. Just get the feeling someone is going to go early on him in the late teens rather than the projected late 20s/early 30s range. Massively underrated imo.

Why would WCE bid on a player generally rated between 7-15 in practically every phantom guide, ESPN rating etc at pick 2? If they really really wanted him they'd put in a bid at 1 as it would make him borderline unaffordable for Carlton to match and then take Duursma with their 2nd pick.

The talk is they're trying to strong arm Carlton into trading them their first pick, I can't imagine that's the type of thing to go down well in terms of relations between the two clubs. Hes rated 8th at the latest with Twomey, he has the best guides

8 to 5 isnt a ridiculous difference considering eagles need quality tall defenders, Twomey mentioned it and theres been articles

And the eagles would just say no? First rounders have 3 year contracts these days.

The likely scenario is that Eagles and Carlton come to some form of agreement that sees Eagles get 9 and Dean not bid on until at least Richmond’s pick 5.

Eagles absolutely love Dean and they are definitely looking for a young high end KPD which Harry is.

It's unlikely they bid in the top 2, but the interest in Dean is genuine, not merely chicanery

I like the assumption that Dean would want to still go to the club that didn’t want him, reckon he’d be pretty disillusioned with Carlton if that were to occur.

Tier Duursma
I feel I've made it pretty clear that I see Duursma as pretty far and away the best player in the draft with some really exciting traits for the next level that should hold up across a variety of positions. I imagine he'll start his career as a half back that transitions into the midfield with more conditioning behind him, with his athleticism, consistency, IQ and skills all good enough to suggest he could be an AA level player at his peak

Tier 2
Mostly made up of guys that I think have some genuinely elite traits that'll hold up at the next level but some drawbacks that might hold them out of the elite bracket at AFL level, whether that be disposal, athleticism or consistency, I'm still confident these guys will be up the top end of their respective teams at their peak, with the upper end of their potential being AA level

Tier 3
Guys that possess one elite trait or are pretty good across the board and I'm pretty confident they'll be Above Average to Good at the very least, and most have a similar ceiling to the Tier 2 guys from my POV

Tier 4
Some guys in here I really like and some I'm not huge on, but the tier as a whole is made up of prospects I see AFL level potential in but I'm not super confident they'll make it for one reason or another, but still expect them to get drafted.

Appreciate this quality of information PMBangers. Cumming and Farrow for are my first 2 picks to rectify Essendon's needs too, but based on your rankings would you attempt to trade these picks with the Eagles for Duursma - assuming Eagles will do that & grab CDT/Robey and 2 players out of your 3rd tier list?

Would be rapt to bring in both - Cumming has shades of Cousins & Farrow has shades of Dawson.
