It will be the same when mark ricciuto kids are of age and he has 4 boys

if that's correct recruiters need to lift their game ... it's unprofessional and immature.

?????

If West Coast thinks Dean is the player they most want on their list, they bid. Carlton matches the bid because they also want him and they have the right to match. Dean goes to Carlton, West Coast picks the next player on their list, it's just business done. Happens a dozen times a draft.

actually it's the dead set opposite...

Most of the time it's pure strategy knowing it will be instantly matched but puts them in a better position on other players in the draft especially if they have an inkling the same club has heavy interest in a player later in the draft they want.

I hate that every year this thread just becomes draft general discussion
I would be asking the mods for a locked thread. :)
It is why I have never bothered having my own thread.

should the eagles decide to pick Dean knowing full well his/family connection with Carlton that would be tantamount to starting an all-out !

With any luck Dean will get a bid in the 12+ range so you guys can use 9 & 11. According to those ITK Annable will also likely get a bid in the 8-10 range which seems about right.

“Seems about right” talking about the best pure mid in the draft. If he’s not bid on in the top 5 then someone isn’t doing their job correctly

Apart from CDT, McCarthy & Emmett which other ruckman might get taken in this years draft?
Taj Murray and Isaac Waller (Lions Academy) are more likely than not to get taken from my POV

What do you think of the Sturt Prospect Jett Dahlitz? I thought he did alright in the U18 champs and his disposal efficiency in SANFL U18s is 98%. Is there a major knock on his game that holds him back? I've noticed a lot of his highlights online are of uncontested kicking.
Just a standard state league back flanker imo, nothing screams 'draft me' in comparison to anyone else in the class

Not a fan of Krasnadamkis?
Dangers of responding mid work, do believe he'll get drafted
Any reason Mellor seems to be underrated? Do you think his game will translate at AFL level?
No i don't
Hello, Mr. PMBangers long time listener, first time responder. If you have Adelaide's picks (16, 48, 55), who are you taking?
I think Harley Barker and Phillipou are two midfielders in that range that would bring some speed to the Crows midfield mix that should be considered, or if there was an opportunity to trade up to get into the Cumming region (giggity) then that'd be worth pursuing

PMBangers where would you rate Matt Whitlock in this draft crop and comparison to this years KPPs? Just keen to understand how badly North Melbourne cooked their trade last year.
To be fair it wouldn't matter if he went no1 or no50 in this year's draft I would have thought it can really only be judged on his output on the footy field, So we are still a few years away from knowing if we cooked it or not.

I didn't really rate him heading into the draft so I'm not the best person to ask

MWhitlock, does it matter?

We'll cop bullshit for another 17 months probably. Then we get to laugh at you for wasting Bonts career for 1 flag (10 years ago), deal?

We'll let Mofra be the judge.

This is such a weird take. I was genuinely curious how Whitlock compares to Schubert for example. I enjoy Bangers’ views and just wanted his take.

Not sure about the relevance of bringing up Bont’s career or the Dogs existence in the V/AFL. Every clubs makes a bunch of draft / trade / list ****-ups, this might be just be one or you’re. Maybe it won’t.

Ok, I have a legitimate question for PMBangers

Did you note the dramatic improvement in Charlie Banfield (CL) in the last six games of the WAFL season which did include two league games.

I've rarely seen his name mentioned.

He's a strong, tall imposing inside midfielder now.

The entire dynamic of his game is different to the skinny outside lad we saw last season and earlier in 2025.
