I don't feel he has the disposal quality to be a long term half back, he could rest up forward but I dont see him flourishing without midfield minutesPMBangers, what is your take on Dyson Sharpe's ability to play as an effective half forward or back flank in his first few years, or do you see him more as a 1 dimensional inside-mid?
My draft picks for the Saints;
1. Kye Fincher- matched bid
2. Liam Hetherton-Murray Bushrangers
Cool, don't give a shit tbhAnnable bids at 8 Lions match with 17and 23
Brisbane draft Waller
Elevated; Bruce Reville

He doesnt give a shit tbhHi mate - who would be in your opinion the best key position player available at the start of the second round? Any draftable?
Its his thread, not the general discussion. You didn't ask him anything? He doesnt give a shit tbh
Hello hoffseason gains 01, thank you for your question, first off, I want to assure you I do give a shit.Hi mate - who would be in your opinion the best key position player available at the start of the second round? Any draftable?
Any thoughts on where Hetherton sits compared to the others in that second round range? Given he hardly playedHello hoffseason gains 01, thank you for your question, first off, I want to assure you I do give a shit.
I dont see too much separating Emmett, Thredgold and Ludowyke so it'd depend on what tickles you positionally, and I think McCarthy/ Waller are very much worth a bid in that region too, but I'm not overly confident on any of them becoming much more than role/ fringe players
I needed to see some improvement this year, and preferably some Champs form, to have confidence in him. Theres talent there for sure but I hadn't been convinced he's a long term AFL player from what he had shownAny thoughts on where Hetherton sits compared to the others in that second round range? Not our lord and saviour Bangers, but I think Zero Hangar dropped a video today about it. Haven't watched it but its about an hour titled "Everything You Need to Know About the AFL Draft" or something like thatWhat's the easiest and simplest way to understand draft pick points and discounts?

Think he lacks a little class disposal wise, can lose his feet a bit too easy in contest and isn't super consistent at ground level, no of it is undraftable bad but I see as holding him backVery impressed with Sam Cumming's Rookie Me highlights video. Looks a complete player who can play half forward and midfield. PMBangers what is holding him back from being in your 2nd tier?
It's definitely on the cards in the long term but i do think it'd take 5-6 years for him to start really going, like Hayden Young, whilst he perfects his craft around stoppage, but personally I think half back allows him to shine and best utilise his traitsG'day Bangers,
Hope you have an excellent day today.
Was just wondering what your thoughts are on Jacob Farrow being able to transition to being a genuine midfielder and what traits he would bring if so?
If one were to compare Bo Allan and Farrow’s ability to transition to midfielder in the future, how would you do so? In terms of natural midfield craft, and the likely ease of a transition given their particular strengths and weaknesses? It's definitely on the cards in the long term but i do think it'd take 5-6 years for him to start really going, like Hayden Young, whilst he perfects his craft around stoppage, but personally I think half back allows him to shine and best utilise his traits
In terms of traits for midfield he's obviously a superb ball user and decently clean with his marking and groundball gets, has some decent power to him so can break from congestion and gain territory from stoppage, so there's some good bones to fill a couple of different roles in the midfield
Allan aligns with what i like from a midfielder more given the athleticism and contested game so I'd have a bit more confidence he can become a full time mid.If one were to compare Bo Allan and Farrow’s ability to transition to midfielder in the future, how would you do so? Feel that West Coast would once again be relying on a non-natural midfielder to turn into a midfielder with this target
What about X.Taylor vs Bo with midfield potential?Allan aligns with what i like from a midfielder more given the athleticism and contested game so I'd have a bit more confidence he can become a full time mid.
Pre-Draft their craft is at a similar level imo
