Agreed.

One has proven himself as a superstar at the most elite level,

The other is 23 and has not played one AFL game.

Oh please? If it came down to a selection between the two you would have to have your head fair and square up your own rectum to look over Fevola compared to a AFL wannabe.
It’s not that simple… it’s more about what Pods will give and what he’ll cost vs what Fev will give and what he’ll cost.

Plus, for the team balance and the vibe in the team, I think Pods would ADD to the good feeling and confidence around the traps where as Fev would add ego and bad attitude.

Sure Fev is more proven, but with Pods being a late starter to the game, you can’t deny the improvement he’s made over the past year or so. If he improves again, which you’d say he may well do with time under Eade, then I think we’d have a player.

Well said Gooka, especially the part I highlighted above. People are taking it as though he's our Main Focus. Polak for CHB/CHF should be, and probably is. Pods would be used as the 3rd Tall, in which I think he'd do a fine job. I hope Eade does use a 3rd Rounder on him because I don't think he'll last through to the 4th. Trading Bowden or Brad Murphy for a 3rd Rounder is something I'd do, if we can't get anything else for 'em.

You do not trade away all your picks and some of your fast mid fielders that make your side good to get a KPP that is a head case and may turn out like Jade Rawlings.

I doubt you overlook a super player for a round 3 pick that you think, for some strange reason, could fill the same role!

not the same role. would cost a 4th round pick, compared to having to find 2 first round picks and a player. Why trade off 3 or 4 players to get a head case.

if not the same role.....why the thread asking Pods vs Fev?

People supporting Werribee are a little biased for mine. I think he could play a handful of games at AFL at best!!

And would cost a draft pick that is a 1/10 chance of getting a good player, id prefer to get say a Kennedy in the draft and a couple of others then trade of falkner eagleton and picks.

Don't get me wrong, I could care less if we got Fev. the Poll is about who is better.

IMHO....

PODS is no fev.....and would have an impact like FEV!

Hence I vote for Fev.

Ok i took it as who would be better for the club, in terms of cost and so on.

Fev would cost a bloody lot to get and with his attuide who knows what will happen, Pods would cost buger all to get and would let us bring on Wells Tiller and Walsh.

The issue I see is FEV can make it....PODS is a hail mary. No one knows if he can cut it!!

And FEV would cost pick 11, eaglton to be traded to another club to try and get another first round pick and a falkner type.

Pods would cost bugger all, id prefer to go after Polak.

So you don't want PODs?

That is too much for anyone let alone FEV. The deal would be one top pick.

and a player. That is it!

i do want pods but id prefer to go after polak then both of them, polak would not cost any where near as much as Fev.

Pods is a good cheap option, and id love to have him but Fev and Polak are a lot better playersb but pods is the cheap option.

Carlton would expect a lot more then what geelong paid for Ottens.

Dale Morris has taken his opportunity. Pod's had two chances at AFL and failed. Big differnece mate. Stop misusing the truth to make a point.

Dale Morris wasn't even considered good enough by any AFL club for a rookie list spot, thats the only reason he hadn't failed with previous chances at AFL.

I was thinking that they might have moved him down back more often to show Eade his versatility. There is no way that Eade would draft as purely a FF.Any tall that plays in our side needs to be able to play more than one role and the fact that he did well down back would have massively improved his chnaces of being drafted.

He did play as a regular defender for Werribee before being switched forward didn't he? Can a bees fan confirm this?

Fev is a hail mary as well. He has had seven years on an AFL list, under coaches that include Parkin and Pagan, and he still shows little sign of leaving behind his pathetically child like attitude and becoming a dedicated professional.

So, my vote goes to Pods, not because i think he has more upside, but because he can provide key position cover that we sorely need whilst we have so few talls in the peak 24-29 age group. He can do this whilst costing us little in terms of cap room and only a latish pick in a weak draft.

Fevola on the other hand could be a massively disruptive influence, whilst taking a massive chunk of cap room, and he would cost us at the very least our first two draft picks or our first and a decent player (doubt Carlton would go for either of those deals). Thats way too much on a guy who after seven years in the league is still behaving like he did at his clubs best and fairest, whilst quite often making it clear by his efforts on the field that he just really can't be bothered trying.

Whilst i would prefer Podsy to Fevola, i think this poll should have had a third option. Neither. I think we can find better options than either of them.

Pick 6 and 20, not a kpp and was not signed up for 3 years and was in a good draft.

He is better than any KPP Bogan.....You would nevr give up that much to get FEV.

Kpps are worth a lot more then any one else, this is a weak draft and brown was not signed on for 3 more years.

On pods he has spent all most all of his time down back in the past.
