Anyone considering Aaron Young at Port? $244K fwd/mid, plays in the centre predominately and will attend more centre bounces with Ollie out for 4-6 (as well as increased JS). Had 9 clearances on the weekend and scored 98..

He was the sub for 4-5 games last year hence his low starting price.. Can't believe he is a forward plays as a pure mid clearance player when on the park..

How will K Cornes coming back into the team affect his clearance numbers/TOG?

Give him another week until he gets on the bubble but could be a option as a downgrade that would make you cash and score decently prior to the bye.. If you are considering slaughtering a NVB next week if his scoring and be don't improve? Could be handy to get a DPP in the mids

Clearances should be solid either way.. Even last year when played as the sub often he would come on and get multiple clearances in the last.. Cornes doesn't attend centre bounces quite often anyway.. Expect to see a lot of boak, gray, young in the centre i would think..

In 2014 played 15 games and wore the green vest for 8 games..

freaking port and there freaking young on ballers. jesus. how many guns under 26 you want? the guy looks good.

Just did a bit of research whilst analysing my trade options and a big POD that is on the bubble and has scored 100 in his last 2 games is Adam Schneider, mid priced in the 300K region and is on the bubble this week, thoughts ?

And he is owned by 0.7% of all supercoaches

Not a chance for mine. Can't see him maintaining that and being unaffected by the vest.

Not at all. Aaron young is a clearance beast, Cornes is a tagger now. Cornes will go to Sammy Mitch on the weekend.

Youngy is actually a fantastic POD, however who do you actually downgrade to him? Surely you won't swap one of your rookies already to him? He is at the super awkward price where there is no real benefit.

Youngy has been called out by Kenny to take Ollie's spot while he is out. He really could cement his spot in the 22 during that period. To come out this week you would think it would be Ah Chee and Mitchell and Cornes and Lobbe(if fit) in.

I was going to downgrade Bartel > Hogan to free up some $ for future cash generation, but I'm now seriously considering Bartel > Young for an extra 48k. Same BE as Hogan but more upside as far as on-field scoring potential goes, at least in the short term. Who knows, he could be the Miles of this year, except he is DPP.

Glad we have another week to look at him. I wouldn't be against trading Griffen to him, or even Lynette, who has just been too inconsistent and hasn't worked as I had hoped. Clarke may even get the chop. I got sucked in by that preseason game and broke my no KPF rule.

Miles played for a rather average team and was guaranteed a spot in the 18. Youngy however is still a fringe player at the moment. Our midfield bats incredibly deep. If you are a fringe player and do not dominate, the chances of staying in are hard. He may potentially break into the 21 for good during this period when Ollie is out, however that is no guarantee. What is to say he won't go straight back out when Ollie comes in again?

I personally do not think this will happen, because I really rate Young and I think he will take this opportunity and smash it. You can't forget though he has been in and out of the team so many times in the last couple of years. Off the top of my head, I think he played roughly 13 games last year, but was sub on at least 8 of those occasions.

Could also be a good swap for Clark, if Clarks spuds up again.

It's like Megan Gale saying "come back to my house and we'll have some fun" then arriving and find Hampson naked on the bed :(

Lol. I edited my post and added that option at the same time you were replying :)

SureBuddy14 did you end up starting with Jasper?
No and I ****en hate myself lol. I WENT BLOODY RICKY HENDERSON!?!?!?! Am I a moron or what? I was on the Jasper bandwagon all preseason. Literally did not shut up about him. Then I doubted myself before lockout.... Sigh!

Smart move, even though it didn't work out. It's hard to be objective about your own team. Many people have been burnt by false hope in the past. Always err on the side of caution.

I have a ban on Melbourne players over 220k.

haha sucks, I backed him :D looking good so far, love watching the kid sprint out of your backline, hopefully he keeps up the good scoring!
can always bring him in after his bye at 500k+ ;)

I'm happy with Lumumba.

He is a gun. Dead set gun. I am so annoyed I backed out. His disposal efficiency this year is unreal. The biggest change though is he seems to have finally matured. He is making smart decisions and having no where near as many clangers / turnovers.

Not SC wise... I couldn't be happier. He is finally becoming the player that we all knew he would. Geez it was some frustrating times we had to go through to get there though!
