Interesting, a few in their I would have thought would be more popular at this stage.

Still surprised about the difference between how many people want Wines, but can't see the same value in O'Meara. Both have been tracking the same so far, and O'Meara was only just bested by Wines last year playing through an injury.

I looked at both, and decided wines. Only because I have GAJ as well so come bye rounds, port (r13) suns (12) means I have some cover. both good players that i reckon will improve this season.

Fair point on the bye factor. But I still rate him the same as Wines, surprised to see him not feature more.

Had surgery on both knees this preseason I believe, and isn't back in full training. That might come into peoples thinking at this stage

I knew he had surgery at the end of last year, but thought he was back with the main group already. I stand corrected, no wonder Wines is more popular.

Potential downgrade target then if he is still fighting to get fully fit for round 1, might have a slow start.

T Lynch on my list is of the GC variety. (Adelaide's T Lynch is not SC relevant)

Reports after season finished was he was playing most of the year with a fracture in his leg.

Probably didn't want to not play as we had injuries (Only 3 on Saints list didn't play AFL in '14) & sweet FA senior players.

On my watch list FWIW.

With Dal Santo gone, and until one of the young guys start to step up, he is the only player worth tagging.

I'm keen to see how they line up in NAB cup, both potentially undervalued, but would need to see them moving at full tilt to consider.

Yeah, think I'd lean towards Montagna out of the two if he is up and going in the NAB. If reports are true that he played last year with a fractured leg you can forgive his down year. (Early in the year he put together 140, 174, 144. And 2013 he averaged 114). Only concern is his age (31), but he could be a good pick.

Steven could also be undervalued but Montagna is more proven as a premium whereas Steven has only had one good year. If Steven gets the #1 tag Montagna could be a really good pick this year.

Have you had a good look into him? I wasn't really considering him either but he's definitely on my watch list now. $480k is unders for a bloke who was nearly $700k at one point last year, especially considering he played most of the year injured.
