Ok, something needs tidying up about Ben Johnson. First, he's not a gun recruit/draftee.

He's a 24yo rookie who's been with the VFL team for three years. He played most of his first year in defence and then - in one of the most bizarre comebacks I've seen - nailed eight goals as we stormed home over Sandringham. With Pods promoted in 2010, he played more up forward.

Having watched a fair bit of VFL footy, my humble opinion is that any hopes of Johnson being ANYTHING at AFL level are severely misguided. He's a handy rugged contributor at VFL level. I'm sure he's a nice guy and I love his VFL work, but I for one thought it very strange that he was promoted to the rookie list. Unlike Pods, which was a no-brainer.

Think they thought they needed a 'cheap as chips' tall to offset the swag of mids they drafted, but if he lacks the ability to step up, its just a waste.
Wish he was a McNamara (Pies) now that guy has the talent to develop.
I think they said he's 202-203cms.

I love how he goes Moons as coaches pet. Clearly Podsy is having a lend because there's a fair bit of love between those two.

Didn't know he (Podsy) was into rap.
