With Collingwood officially ending Essendon's 2023 season last night, the earliest date that the Bombers can end their losing run in finals is Thursday 5th September 2024. This is of course assuming that the AFL sticks with a pre-finals bye next year, schedules a Thursday night final, and that of course Essendon make the finals.

Whatever the case, it will be just over 20 years or to be precise 7,306 days.

I didn’t get a word wrong on a spelling test until grade 6. The word that cost me was “accommodation”, double m tripped me up.
