TIL South Africa have won the Rugby World Cup 4 times. The most ever

As was pointed out on Nike's post about this, technically not true

South Africa's 4th win is the most for men's teams, with the New Zealand women having won 6 times

Yes it's two different competitions, but a few years ago the rugby union governing body removed the gender title, so both are simply known as the Rugby World Cup, meaning that the New Zealand women are 6 times Rugby World Cup Champions

And as an example of the change in naming, the next women's event is in 2025, and the it's title is Rugby World Cup 2025

It is illegal in the UK to feed your kitchen waste and scraps to your backyard chickens unless your home is completely vegan. This law came into place in 2001 because of foot and mouth disease. I'm doing a poultry course at the moment and this blew me away.

For a nation with such a haphazard approach to food the Brits can get really weird about eating. They also love a good scare, reminds of the Blitz or something like that.

Toad in the hole, or my fave the Bedfordshire Clanger which is a like a sausage rollbut with half savoury meat and the other half is sweet fruit jam.

I remember this.

Makes sense for the country that pioneered taking herbivores (cows), and feeding them other cows.

Yeah my sister couldn’t donate blood for over 20 years because she spent time in England during the mad cow era

Afaik it's determined by how long it's in their body being made for.
Nope, I’m doing a poultry course and am just quoting what I learnt.

May is National Egg Month, and it is an “egg-cellent” time to discuss how chicken eggs get their coloring. Most ears listen to secrets but a hen’s earlobe actually tells a secret. According to Gregory Archer, AgriLife Texas A&M University Extension Specialist in the Department of Poultry Science, if a hen has white earlobes, she will produce white eggs and if she has darker earlobes she will produce colored eggs like blue, brown, or green.

I'll have to check out my chicken's ear lobes. 👍

There’s probably a technical reason for the colour but at least you can tell by the ear lobes.
