I wasn't aware the act of intentionally flying along a latitudinal or longitudinal parallel was really a thing, though. ;)
It could be. If you had a desire to check out all of every parallel and the funds to make it happen. Totally probable....:p

Edit: Btw, another bit of trivia. They aren't parallels of longitude, because they all converge at the top and bottom. They're only running parallel at the equator.

Talking of parallels and useless trivia, did you know that the length of the 60th parallels, both north and south, is only half that of the equator? Something to do with the bulging of the planet supposedly.

I was told the other day by a workmate that the daily US consumption of ice cream is equivalent to the weight of the Eiffel Tower.

Unsure if this is accurate, if so it's impressive.

It's impossible to write out a Googolplex in long form (1,000,000,000...etc.). There simply isn't enough space in the observable universe to do so, even if you could shrink every number to the size of an atom.

Boom! Myth busted.

Umm...I have no idea. I used google if that counts for something.

Better get counting, man. Keeping in mind that to audibly count to one million it will take around 5 days, 18 hours, 53 minutes and to reach one billion will take you 15 years, 308 days, 9 hours, 41 minutes.

Bust that myth, smartarse.

Crap.

If you stood still at the equator for 24 hours you would have travelled about 40,000 kilometers. If you stood still next North Pole for the same amount of time you would have moved a couple of feet.

No. You really should listen to Monty python's galaxy song. You'll get an idea of how much someone standing still at the north pole for a day actually does move.
