Shits me how all it takes is one pokémon to run away to break the chain. Had a bastard run away after the first ball last night.

I think I got about 16 shinies. Tried for Charmander but gave up as I wanted to play smash

I tried a couple times. My longest chain was 38 horseas (lol) but then I couldn’t be bothered and moved on.

So after an hour of trying to get a shiny Charmander... got to 3 in my catch combo and the next one ran. Yay

I chained an easier pokemon and waited til he spawned, i dont think getting to 31 makes him spawn more often since he's a special spawn

Every pokemon will tell you it's about to run
If it does any attack animation but the circle doesn't disappear, it will run after the next ball or about 10 seconds.
To avoid this run away yourself as this doesn't kill the streak.

Got back into this the last week and now I'm done, well I still want to get Melmetal in the game at some point.

Hopefully the next Pokemon game has some connectivity with this or Nintendo bring Pokemon Bank to the Switch.
