They mostly want other unavailable Pokemon :(. I found a Cyndaquil for a Rufflet, but it was taken before I got the chance.

I'm trying through Wonder Trade. Just got a Cyndaquil, and was super excited as that was the main one I wanted. Name... Anel Burger. Curse you, Wonder Trade.
Must be my long lost brother.

I went back to GTS to see if I could get any of the other starters, all just asking for unavailable Pokemon. Wonder Trade it is. Hopefully no more Anel Burger's.

Just traded an Eevee for an Eevee, then traded that Eevee and got another Eevee :p

I figure once you get one good one like cyndaquil you can breed it and trade for some of the others that way.

I ended up trading my Xernas for a Treecko on gts. Made 20 or so Treeckos and used those on gts to get all the other stuff (and another Xernas).

Can you pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease go on a breeding spree and set aside a box for pokemon for me?
I'm in Europe at the moment (w/o pokemon) an will be back in about 2 weeks and would love to get starters and legendries.
They'll be pretty easy to get in 2 weeks. I have a few left over from breeding already. If I have time to do it, I might get more, but for now, if I gave you the ones I have left over, you could get the rest easily. Especially in 2 weeks.

I don't have any of the legendaries though.

I wonder whether you could use Pokemon Bank to transfer Pokemon from X to Y (and vice versa) without needing a second 3DS. If so, then I could see some real good use out of this service (apart from transferring Pokemon from Black/White to X/Y of course)

Just read this on Serebii which may help:

The main feature of Pokémon Bank is allowing you to transfer Pokémon between various games. However, in addition to the generational transfer of Poké Transporter, you can transfer between Pokémon X & Y. As the games can be downloaded, the game offers you a choice of what game to utilise in your transfer. You can exit out and reload the other game at will, and it gives you the details of the game's current status.
The most interesting point of this is that it ignores the 3DS's region lock, meaning that you can put an American game into a Japanese 3DS and use Pokémon Bank there.

How do I get the Pokemon Bank?
Don't worry for now it's been delayed.

Nintendo and The Pokémon Company International have postponed the launch of Pokémon Bank and Poké Transporter – two software applications that were originally scheduled to launch for Nintendo 3DS on Dec. 27 – due to a large volume of traffic to the Nintendo Network service. Due to the high traffic, players are having trouble setting up Nintendo Network IDs and downloading content in the Nintendo eShop on both Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. We truly regret the inconvenience, and wish to reassure everyone that providing a solution is our top priority. We apologize for the delay and thank you for your continued patience.

Did Nintendo really not see this coming?

I'm in no huge rush to obtain all the starters as I have almost all of them in my Pearl/Silver/White/Black2 save files. Plus I have some Event Pokemon (Darkrai, Vicinti, Deoxys x2) so I have collateral.
