Pokerstars pulling out of Australian market

OK so I haven't played or even logged in to Stars for ages and now realise that we are shut out here. Does anyone know if they are paying out withdrawals or is it money lost?

Has any one tried playing with a PPPoker club? Is anyone playing online other ways? I miss it!
Instead of posting maybe D.M me with a solution?

I don't, but I know a few people that play with a few PPPoker clubs.

Basically, make sure you play with someone you know either as the backer or link between you and your club. Someone didn't, and put in a Perth facebook poker page a complaint that this faceless organisation, with literally zero regulation, had scammed his money. While its obvious to see coming, save yourself and make sure you have a link between yourself and the group you trust.

so Packers shares of CrownBet have been bought out by Stars Group....owners of Pokerstars. full intention to begin the process of lobbying the government to allow online poker in Aus.
This I believe would be a timely process, I don't think we will see online poker for a while still.
But nevertheless, is great news!!!

you can still play online on ACR and Ignition, i've played a little bit on both and I'll try reviewing them for you :)
first lol at anyone saying online is rigged, even though the hand example i post will fuel their belief.

so first both don't really have much tournaments on at the time I want to play, afternoon and evening, which would make sense as they are US based, if you are just 1 or 2 tabling tourneys it's probably fine though. ACR would have more regs and better players but tourneys are still pretty soft. ignition is even more soft as it is only open to US and Australian players and all tables are anonymous. which means when you enter a tourney you get an id number and you can put notes on other players but will obviously lose the notes at the end of the tournament, and no huds. (though i think you can get some hand catcher program that can get you stats on the players but will obviously only be small sample) ACR is similar to stars and party in regards to names and notes and huds, notes you put on players you will see again if you play with them another time and tourneys are tracked on sharkscope.
also ignition does not have synchronized breaks during tournaments which is especially annoying when playing multiple tables. they still have a 5 minute break every hour but the breaks across all tournaments are not at the same time, kinda hard to go to the toilet.

I haven't tried cash games on acr as i just hear the are really reggy and full of bots. ignition though does have a lot of spewy players, funny example below :) again cash games are all anonymous and they have regular tables and zone tables. zone is just like zoom on stars. you can fast fold and you straight away start a new hand with new players, especially unique on ignition because it's all anonymous, so each hand is against 5 randoms you have no info on. but it's all pretty soft on ignition.

Flop: ($1,072.00, 2 players) 4 diamond, 3 diamond, 5 club,

Hero shows Ace spade, King diamond, (High Card, Ace)
CO wins $1,069.00
Rake paid $3.00

you find people stacking off 250bb with 42o

poker tracker and holdem mananger can auto track hands on acr but it doesn't track tournament results, though you can just go to sharkscope to see tourney results on acr.
on ignition hands are not automatically tracked and it's all really confusing to get them imported into a tracker. first you need to download the hand history file, and then get the file converted into a format poker tracker or holdem manager accepts and then import it into the tracker. and this will get you tourney results on the tracker as well

I'm in the States now and see bet365 now has a poker platform.

I need to get my money out of Stars.

I contacted Party Poker yesterday, probably haven't played on there for 8+ years, I still had $250. Don't know how much I really had cos they said I'd been charged inactivity fees.

I gotta remember where else I have money.

I run my own small club but am also an admin for Mike Mizrachi's club which has 50+ tables going 24/7. If anyone from BigFooty needs I can hit them up with an invite/info

Has anyone withdrawn from PokerStars in the last 12 months? If so, what method did you use? Pretty sure deposit to a bank account won't work.

I still have a Neteller account, but wondering what other methods there might be.
